For trader Peter Pirnbacher, trading has always been a means of carving out more free time away from a computer screen while still providing a decent income. So he came up with a system that now brings him a return of over 15% a year. Listen to the rest of our conversation, Episode 58 of A Trader’s Life, to find out how he did that.

My next guest is Peter Pirnbacher, a stock trader from Austria.
I found one of the most interesting things to come out of our conversation was Peter’s systematic approach to attaining a consistent return on his trading, while scaling back his time in front of the computer screen.

My next guest is Moritz Ansgar Kuhn, a stock trader from Germany.
What struck me first about Moritz was just how fit he looked. It didn’t surprise me to hear he’s passionate about sport. In fact, one of the things he loves about trading is that it frees up his time so he can keep fit.
Like a lot of sports fanatics, he’s big on hard work, discipline and perseverance and believes in applying those same qualities to his trading. We got together in April 2022.

Looking for a way of making passive income by taking a stake in the crypto space that doesn’t require you to trade crypto.?
Check out Yieldnodes. These guys provide cutting edge services to the blockchain network, such as maintaining e-wallets and the like.
It’s easy to get set up on the platform, and the returns are truly exceptional, averaging around 10% per month. Once you factor in compounding you could be looking at just north of 200% per annum. Here’s another thing I think is really important: Yieldnodes have allowed members to audit their incomings and outgoings and found them to be entirely transparent.
I personally think this is an exciting proposition and, if you sign up through my link, instead of the usual minimum deposit of 500 Euros, you can make a start with just 50 Euros. Heck, some people put that on the lottery every weekend! So why not plant a seed today with Yieldnodes and see what grows from there?
By pass the 500 Euro minimum requirment and start participating in the Yieldnodes project with as little as 50 Euros via this link while helping to keep this podcast going.

My next guest was born in Moscow and grew up in the United States. His career on Wall Street began over two decades ago with Drexel Burhnam Lambert. Today, Boris Schlossberg heads up his own company. Managing BKForex.com.
He has traded pretty much every kind of instrument you care to think of. Over the years he’ come to realise he’s – quote unquote – an adrenaline junky and best suited to trading fast moving instruments like indices on one-minute charts. We got together as the world was still reeling from the first two weeks of war between his former homeland and Ukraine.
This was a lively conversation dotted with some sharp inights.

This is a clip from my chat with trader Boris Schlosberg. I think it stands as one of the best and most honest quotes I’ve recorded on the show, summing up the challenge of the committed trader.
He's an expert scalper based out of New Jersey, USA. We had a lively chat, so listen to the rest. Episode 56 of A Trader’s Life.

From stand-up comedian to broker to professional trader – that’s been the career path of my next guest, Kenny Glick.
As it happens, Kenny still does a stand-up routine, it’s just that he does it from his home office and for the benefit of his trading students, or VWAPians, as he calls them.
The first time I came across Kenny talking on one of his live shows giving a demonstration of how he uses the volume waited price average indicator, I had a stupid grin on my face for the duration. But he’s no joke when it comes to getting results. So, stick around. This is a fun episode.

This is a clip from my chat with trader Kenny Glick.
Kenny started out as a stand-up comedian in New York. Then, when a life of being broke day in day out became no laughing matter, he gave Wall Street a shot - as a broker. That was fun, to a point, but for him the punchline surely lay in playing the role of a trader, not a broker. So he started out on his own.
The path to consistent – and by the sound of things – very lucrative profits was brutal, but he ploughed on through, losing lumps along the way, till he fashioned his own scalping strategy using the VWAP, or volume weighted average price indicator.
Today he styles himself as The Warlock, lead of has a the VWAPians (his students) and runs his own mentorship programme with a couple of trading buddies. This is a really lively episode peppered with plenty of sharp and witty insights. Listen to the full episode - #55.

Not so long ago, I had on the show a trader who trades nothing but US dollar pound. My guest today trades USDCAD, or the Loonie, pretty much exclusively. Garrett Hollander started his career in marketing, got into trading as a sideline, and after the usual baptism by fire, with a little help from his mentor, managed to work out a way to trade his "favourite soap opera", as he calls it, to make consistent gains.
SurgeTrader, LLC is a US-based proprietary trading — or prop trading — firm, with a mission to accelerate trader funding and provide capital to profitable traders. Once traders have proven they can be profitable by passing an Audition, they become a part of the SurgeTrader funded trader community, with access to an account funded with up to $1 million. For more information on SurgeTrader or how to become a funded trader, visit https://www.surgetrader.com.

How do traders do it, overcoming setbacks, managing their risk and reining in their emotions to take chunks of money out of the markets? Showhost Nicholas Penrake chats with traders from all kinds…
If you glance at my profile on LinkedIn, you’ll see I’m no big shot trader. Mid way through 2023, after nearly three years' trading, I'm still only break-even. But every week I learn something new. And part of that learning process is enriched by talking and listening to other traders, those with more experience than I have.
We all know that emotions can seriously derail your trading aspirations. It's been my experience - and I hope you agree - that every so often listening to other traders' stories can not only be instructive but inspirational, even comforting, to a degree.
Just one example: one of my guests lost 50,000 in just a just a few months. Today’s she’s crushing it in commodities. How did she do it? You come here to find out.
And here’s the thing… the picture I’m getting is that it’s not so much about the money, it’s about the challenge.
It’s also about freedom: finding a pursuit that can make you an income that only relies on your smarts and an internet connection.
If you can get there, trading can potentially free up your day, allowing you to explore a world that extends far beyond the daily commute to an office.
So, if you’re a trader interested in comparing your story with the stories of traders who’ve cracked it, or even if you’re just curious about trading, grab your headphones, open your browser and have a listen – A Trader’s Life.
