God has done so much for you in your life. The list is eternal of the ways he’s saved, guided and blessed each and every believer in him. Paul encourages believers to live in response to God’s goodness. Do good to others. Bless them and love them the way Jesus loves you. God has specific instructions in terms of how you fulfill the law of Christ with your brother believer. Christ’s law is the law of love. He commands you to help, correct, or care for your brother in great love and gentleness. In your human nature, it’s all too easy to allow pride or selfishness to govern your dealings with struggling believers. Yet, as Pastor Bill will remind you today, as you seek to follow God’s call in helping others, you must be filled with the Spirit. Allow the spirit to love on, restore, or correct others through you.

Are you different now as a believer than before you believed in Christ for Salvation? Are there signposts in your life that you have the Holy Spirit in you, transforming you from the inside? God has promised that the Bible is the full revelation of His Word. He even warns us against false teachers who claim they have new truths. These heresies are conjured by men engulfed in their own pride. They want to be something special, the bearers of great news, that in the end are nothing but folly from the heart of men. When we know Jesus Christ, we are filled with the Holy Spirit. We can be ruled by many things. We can let ourselves be given over to bad habits, poor choices, and unhelpful relationships. But Pastor Bill encourages you today, to take control of your life by letting go of it. In your own strength, you will continually fall into temptation and you will never be as free as you could be in Christ. One of the greatest gifts of knowing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is knowing that this life is impossible to maneuver without Him. Give Him the reins and allow Him to take control.

When you fully understand Jesus’ sacrifice for you on the cross and God’s supernatural, unconditional love poured out on you, that love should overflow into the people around you.
