As you spend more time getting to know the Lord, the more you’ll fall in love with God’s character and principles. Today, Pastor Bill will give you a great challenge. It’s not enough to simply attend church, to do nothing is to allow sin to continue, you should do whatever you can to serve the Lord in some capacity, it could be as simple as serving at church on Sundays.

Is there something that you used to love to do, since becoming a Christian, you don’t love as much anymore and may even start to not like it at all? It may be a big part of your life, but it could also be something very small. In today’s message, Pastor Bill explains that it’s the conviction of the Holy Spirit that will start to make you hate sin as much as God does. The next step is to run to God for help in those areas and as you yield to Him, He will give you victory and sanctification over them.

For a lot of people becoming a Christian means their whole life changes. They may have to stop going some places, or even cut off some friendships. As Pastor Bill calls out in today’s message, every Christian has had to make changes, but every Christian also has areas of compromise. Where are you compromising? We all have weak spots, the challenge is to identify the specific areas to go to the Lord specifically for strength in those areas. The last thing you want to do is ignore them, that leaves the door open for the enemy.

As a believer when something good happens to you, you understand that it could only happen because of God. But what about the bad things that happen? Do you blame the enemy? In today’s message, Pastor Bill explains that, as a New Testament believer the enemy can’t just come up and attack you, he has to go through God first. Everything that happens to you has to pass through God, the good and the bad. Therefore, no matter what happens you must trust that God will use it for good in some way.

Accepting Christ as Lord and becoming a Christian has a way of changing you. You may display more self-control and discipline on the outside, but do you still think the same? In today’s message, Pastor Bill explains that God doesn’t just want what you show everyone else, He wants your thoughts too. It’s not enough to simply not say the thing or act out the thoughts, God sees your heart and He wants you to learn to take the thoughts captive and change your heart to be more like His.

Scripture says that the enemy sits on a throne of lies. In today’s message, Pastor Bill says that when we have Jesus, the enemy will try to lie and tell us that the things of this world are better. He’s the truth, God’s better. He loves you and wants what's best for you, that’s something the enemy can’t promise. God’s ways are always better because they lead to life everlasting. He wants a relationship with you, all you have to do is believe in Him and trust His way’s better. When you do that, He’ll guide you towards eternity.

When we’re saved by Christ, there isn’t anything that can harm us that’s outside of God’s kingdom. In today’s message, Pastor Bill teaches that we can be confident if we’re going up against things of the enemy because we have Christ. When you’re up against a wall and the enemy’s attacking from all sides, run to God. He’s a firm foundation that’ll never let you go. He’s a protector and healer of all things and loves His children. God promises to protect you if you trust and follow Him daily!
