How do we know that prophecies spoken of in the Bible are true and worth studying? Because the Bible is God’s Word and is Truth! Have you been trying and failing to find it in the world? The Lord wants to satisfy you!

How often do we neglect the will of God because we think that we know best? Today, Pastor Bill will challenge listeners to guard against this temptation as he teaches on the example of Israel in 1 Samuel 8. Too many times, the Israelites turned to man-made solutions for problems that they faced. May we not make the same mistake! No matter the situation we are in, our first response should be to turn towards God. Are you putting your hope and trust in the Lord today? He wants to sustain you!

The nature and character of God is always to welcome home those who turn back to Him! Contrary to the nature of man, Our Father in Heaven does not need time to consider if we are worth it. In today’s teaching, Pastor Bill will speak to the incredible love of God for His people. It is this love that should inspire us to run wholeheartedly to the Father! There’s not a checklist you need to complete before seeking out the Lord. Have you turned your life over to God today? He wants you no matter your past!

The world says that you are strong when you have it all - status, money, nice things. This life can more easily lead to pride and less dependence on God. In today’s message, Pastor Bill will show listeners that it is when we are at our weakest, that we are the most usable by God. This spirit of humility is not easy to adopt, but those who do are equipped to do much more for the Kingdom! Have you allowed pride to slip in, and squeeze out God? The sacrifice that Jesus made is worthy of our devotion to Him. Today, Pastor Bill will speak on the powerful principle of surrendering our entire hearts to the Lord. Sometimes, people want to only give the Lord portions of their life, while they hold on to others for themselves. God deserves all of you, and He can do more through us when we surrender to Him. Is there a part of you that you have yet to give over to the Lord? He wants all of you, and is ready to do great things in your life!

What should we be like when we come to the presence of the Lord? Today, Pastor Bill says that we are the temple of God and therefore we should come before the throne of God humbly. When you recognize that God is God, it should give you a reverence for who He is. Because God’s more powerful than we are, when we talk to Him, we should be in a posture that recognizes that God is God and we aren’t. Next time you talk to God, come before Him knowing that He is an all-knowing God.

When we’re scared of something, we don’t want to interact with it. Today, Pastor Bill says the people in 1 Samuel forgot what the fear of the Lord was like. When we fear the Lord, it isn’t the same kind of fear as a fear of heights would be. Instead, it’s a reverence for who God is and what He has done for your life. When you fear God you’re saying “God, I know you are stronger and know more than me, guide me.” To have a proper fear of the Lord you must first believe that He is God. Believe in Christ today!
