Have you ever done something you wished you hadn’t done and wasted valuable time because of it? We all make mistakes and in those mistakes, we lose time that we will never get back. Today, Pastor Bill wants you to know that surrendering yourself to God will give you the most productive and impactful life that you could possibly have. When you let Him take control, you begin a life that’s prosperous, and not a second goes to waste. Stop ignoring the massive potential for your life and let God take control.

Showing mercy to people who don’t deserve it can be hard—if not impossible. We often find ourselves judging others and deciding who deserves mercy and who doesn’t. Today, Pastor Bill reminds us that no one deserves mercy, and God still gives it to all of us. Whether you’re a Christian or not, none of us deserve to be forgiven and through Jesus, we can be set free. Instead of spending your time getting bitter over others being shown undeserved mercy, follow Jesus and be forgiven.

We like to think that we always know what’s best for ourselves in life. We enjoy making our own decisions and when things don’t go our way we try to blame anyone but ourselves. In today’s message, Pastor Bill explains how Jonah does this very thing and even still, God looks out for him. Jonah directly disobeys God and it’s not until he starts following God’s plan that his life begins to flourish and turn around for the better. Trust in God’s plan for your life and He will never leave your side.

Have you ever felt like God was working against you? Maybe his answer to your prayer isn’t what you were expecting, or maybe it felt like he wouldn’t answer at all. Today, Pastor Bill speaks about God’s sovereignty. Even if it doesn’t always feel like God allowing what is best for us; we need to remember that Christianity isn’t a cakewalk. In fact, we’re guaranteed to face tribulations in our lives because of our faith. But everything that God allows in our lives, is for our own spiritual betterment.

In today’s message, Pastor Bill speaks about the story of Jonah. And how God sent him to give his message to non-believers in Nineveh. The Ninevites were very evil people, brutal and destructive. Yet, the Bible says that despite their wickedness, God’s response was to send someone to preach to them rather than striking them down. This parallels the story of Jesus Christ. Despite how far we’ve fallen from God’s grace, God still loves us and wants us to be with him in Eternity.

As Pastor Bill continues going through the story of Ruth, he reminds us that Ruth chose Boaz. She had the full ability to reject him, but she didn’t because she loved him. Today, Pastor Bill again compares this to our relationship with God. God loves us unconditionally; after all, he sent his only son to die for us. But we still have the full choice to not love him back. True love isn’t forced upon anyone, but that’s how we know that THIS IS true unconditional love.

In today’s message, Pastor Bill speaks about our ability to consent to God’s love for us. Even if it’s offered unconditionally; meaning that nothing can stop it or take it away, God still offers us the choice to not receive it if we don’t want it. After all, is it really love if you don’t have a choice? Pastor Bill compares this to Ruth’s marriage with Boaz. Despite the hardships Ruth faced in her life, she still chose to reciprocate the love that Boaz had for her, the same way we can choose the Love of God!

Both women had lost everything in their lives, including their husbands. But when all seemed lost, they turned to God. And at that point, their lives began to turn around for the better! Pastor Bill says that the same is true for us! Even when we feel like we have nothing left, we can still turn to God, and he will satisfy our needs.

As Pastor Bill continues his teaching series through the book of Ruth, he'll be challenging you to be busy with the Lord's work and not become entangled in the affairs of this life. Ruth was working hard, and kept her commitments, while also sacrificially helping Naomi. When Boaz met Ruth, he knew Ruth was special, and he recognized her godly character. God providentially worked on behalf of Ruth and Boaz, bringing them together even though they weren't looking for each other.

There are very clear roles set out by the Lord regarding men and women, husbands and wives. God created men and women as equals, who should be submitting one to another in the fear of the Lord. The husband is called to lead the home while being led by the Lord, and the wife is called to submit unto her own husband. Today, Pastor Bill will be explaining how God's design brings order and helps make the household run smooth as husband and wife first and foremost seek the Lord.
