When you see a replica of something, you want it to be as close to the real thing as possible, to honor the original. So when you hear the words, “humans are made in the image of God,” you want people to represent God in the best way possible! So by harming a person who was made in God’s image, you’re ruining something that was intended to be a really good, glorifying thing. Today, Pastor Bill speaks on the issue of murder, why it wasn’t ok in the past, and why it’s not ok now. God made each person!

When you don’t kill a weed, it comes back even stronger and might spread to other areas. That’s why you have to kill it at the root, to fully remove it from causing problems for the soil and the things you actually want to grow. In this case, Pastor Bill teaches on God wanted the Israelites to wipe out the wicked people who were living in the land. He had been patient for centuries with these nations, and they continued to go against anything God desired. Sin is like this too, and you need to wipe it out!

If you decided to drive on a roundabout and just kept going around and around, you’d soon realize that you’re not getting anywhere. Your car is moving, but it’s not getting you to any kind of destination. Did you know that this can be the same with your relationship with Jesus too? You may be doing a lot of busy things, but it may not be getting you any closer to Jesus in the process. Today, Pastor Bill teaches how the Israelites were moving around, but they were wandering and lost.

Sometimes, being bold has a bad rap. Many times, people who are bold go about it in all the wrong ways, and end up causing more problems than they counted on. But today, Pastor Bill gives you a different perspective on what it means to be bold, be full of faith, and walk-in what God has called you to do. This doesn’t mean that you have to be a jerk, but you also can’t be afraid of potentially offending someone either. Today, you’ll hear about how the Israelites walked out of Egypt boldly!

Has someone ever asked you to do something? And then they said, “trust me”? Well, depending on the person, you may not have trusted them enough to go ahead and do that something. Pastor Bill shares that when God asks or calls you to do something he CAN be trusted. If you are a new believer, it can be hard to discern if God is giving you the direction or is it just something you want. But as you walk in faith and trust God more, you’ll learn when He is leading and when He’s not.

Has the GPS ever gotten you lost while you were driving? You listened to the voice and it sent you in the wrong direction? But you trusted the voice and, unfortunately, he or she gave you bad advice. Pastor Bill shares that, when you get directions from God, you can trust Him. But you have to LEARN to trust him by exercising your faith. And, many times, he will lead you in the direction that you didn’t expect. You thought you were going to be right but He sent you left; backward but He sent you forward.

Have you ever made your way to the checkout line at the store and forgotten your bank card? What a sinking feeling right? You had no way to pay? What about in the case of your sin? How are you going to pay for all the sins you have committed against God? Pastor Bill shares that because of Christ your sin debt was paid in full. This is a free gift that all you have to do is accept. So, unlike forgetting your bank card, you now have unlimited funds available just by asking and receiving.

The phrase “Stand in the Gap” was used by the men’s group Promise Keepers many years ago. Inspiring men to stand in the gap between a fallen world and their families. In this way, they would exemplify Christ and how he stood in the gap for us. Pastor Bill shares that this is really what the gospel is all about. Pastor Bill also shares that because of Christ and what he did on the cross, you no longer have to endure what many in the old testament had to endure for their sins.

How do you handle problems and decisions? Do you tend to tackle them head-on or do you need to sleep on them and deal with them in the morning? Well, Pastor Bill shares that in the area of sin you need to be very direct and decisive. And he will share why this is an important approach in your relationship with God. You may start out with the best of intentions like many did in the bible. But you must continue the fight with God's help. Because if you don’t, you may find yourself chasing things that are not of God.

If you’ve ever watched court tv or been a part of a court proceeding, you know at some point in the trial witnesses are called. Someone is called upon to vouch for your character and reputation. But in regard to sin and your guilt before God, who can act as your witness and advocate? Pastor Bill shares that only Jesus can do that and is ready, willing, and able to do so. But you need to ask him. Now the devil will continue to bring his accusations of guilt, but Jesus came to set you free.
