Have you ever had someone cosign a loan for you? Someone who steps in and vouches for you. An advocate in a sense. Well, Pastor Bill shares that Jesus not only cosigns but intercedes for you to pay your debt. In today’s message, Pastor Bill also shares that husbands are to play a similar role in their marriages. And wives also have an important yet different responsibility in supporting their husbands in this role. Creating a God-honoring relationship that brings order and structure to your family.

Church should be so much more than an obligation. You don’t need to attend in order to maintain your membership in God’s Kingdom, it’s something you need in order to experience the fullness of what God desires for you. This life can be so busy and we can easily lose sight of what really matters. As Pastor Bill will challenge us in today’s message, if Church hasn’t been a priority for you, now is the time to change that. You need that fellowship for your own growth, and the rest of the Kingdom needs you.

God’s Son came to earth as a human to live among us, facing temptation and suffering just like us. He performed miraculous signs and wonders and preached the truth that revealed His Father and incited the anger of the enemy. It actually happened, it’s not just a story. This truth is essential to our faith. As Pastor Bill will explain in today’s message, Jesus wasn’t just a charismatic leader with helpful advice and proverbs, He was a physical demonstration of the grace of God who came to save mankind from sin.

The sacrifices we read about in the Old Testament are so primitive and messy. It’s hard to wrap our heads around these bloody demonstrations, but that’s just what they were: demonstrations. They didn’t actually achieve atonement for the people, they were just symbols of the spiritual activity that was taking place between God and His people. As Pastor Bill will explain in today’s message, these symbols all pointed to the ultimate demonstration of God’s love through His Son, Jesus.

Where are you spending your time, energy, and money? In today’s message, we’ll be reminded by Pastor Bill that God desires the first fruits of our labor. That means He wants our best. He doesn’t want afterthoughts or leftovers. He desires that you would think of Him first when you get your paycheck or plan out your week. That’s easier said than done! It requires a huge shift in focus from what makes you happy and comfortable to what would bring glory to your gracious Savior.

One hundred percent of what you have came from the Lord. Your talents, possessions, and relationships are all gifts from Him. He wants you to enjoy them, but He also wants you to demonstrate your faith in Him by holding them loosely and surrendering them to His greater purpose. As Pastor Bill continues our study of the book of Numbers in today’s message, we’ll be reminded that we are stewards of everything God’s given us. These blessings provide an opportunity for us to worship Him through our giving.

Following Jesus isn’t about basking in the attention your faith may bring. When you place your faith in Him, you acknowledge that He is God and He alone is worthy of worship. Any praise you receive from others should immediately be pointed towards your Savior. As Pastor Bill will encourage us in today’s message, God can use you greatly when you approach Him in humility with the desire to serve Him over your own agenda. If your own success is your priority, you’ll miss out on His purpose in your life.

Truth isn’t subjective. Go back a few centuries and the idea that the earth was flat was a commonly held belief. That didn’t make it true. You could find numerous examples through history where cultures have pushed certain ideas as truth, only to realize later they were completely wrong. As Pastor Bill will remind us in today’s message, God’s Word is the ultimate tangible measure of truth we have access to as humanity, and we need to treat it like that. Our feelings about it don’t affect its validity.

Our God is a God of hope and redemption. He can stop the cycle of generational sin and oppression and bring freedom. The frustrating thing about sin is that it has a way of subtly working its way back into a heart, and it’s especially heartbreaking for parents to see it take root and bring destruction to their children’s lives. God’s heart breaks even more over it. But, as Pastor Bill will encourage us in today’s message, we can experience freedom when we place our trust in Christ.

Believers in Christ can often fall into the trap of believing they don’t have enough to add to their service to God. You may see someone able to do something you can’t. You may feel too unskilled to even work in God’s kingdom. Today, Pastor Bill will challenge you to not believe those lies. God isn’t looking for the most brilliant, talented, or exceptional people. He’s looking for faithful people. He desires you to be willing, humble, and obedient, trusting Him. He will work through faithful people and do miracles!
