There are plenty of arguments for abortion; we live in a society that has made it such a normal thing, that we don’t look at it in its true light: murder. Pastor Bill reminds us in today’s message, that even if the quality of life of that child will be less than, you still have no right to take it. God is almighty and all-powerful and you never know what miracles He might work in the life of that child, or because of the struggle for that life. What we intend for evil, He makes good. Don’t underestimate the good that God can do.

Does it ever feel like God’s blessings are absent from your life? If that’s the case, Pastor Bill reminds us in today’s message, that we need to examine ourselves. If we’re living in God’s Will, there’s no reason for Him to keep His blessings from us, so logically, we must not be living in His Will or according to His instructions. Take a good look at your life in comparison to God’s commands; we all have something we need to repent of, if you don’t feel conviction, then there’s something you’re missing.

A lot of people –Christians and otherwise – believe that God set down rules just to be difficult, or to alienate certain individuals. But if you’re truly following Christ, you know that that’s not a reason at all; Pastor Bill reminds us today that God put laws in place in order to guide us and protect us from both ourselves, and others. As a Christian, you don’t follow God’s laws so that you can be blessed or happy, you follow them because He is the LORD of your life and you know He only wants what’s best for you.

We all know what it feels like to be nostalgic for our past. But how often do you truly miss it? Usually, we miss the feeling of how it was, not everything involved. What Pastor Bill reminds us of today is, that we need to be careful with what we crave. If you’re looking at your past and missing all the things you used to do before you met Christ, you’re tricking yourself into only remembering the nice parts. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you had it made when the reality was, you were lost and broken.

Sometimes, it feels like no matter what you do, you can’t make a difference in this world. As Christians, we try to live our lives to glorify God and to build others up, but sometimes we falter and end up picking up more from the world than what we give. Pastor Bill encourages us today to go forward with intentionality. Don’t just go with the flow and try to fit in, be deliberate with your words and your thoughts that they might bring glory to God and clarity to others. Don’t fall victim to this world – be intentional.

We all know what it feels like to run out of steam; sometimes people can be mean and cruel, and it seems the only way to live a happy life, is off the grid. But pastor Bill reminds us today why there can be no solitary Christians. Christians are called to share Truth with the world, but beyond that, we’re called to share our gifts. The purpose of spiritual gifts is to glorify God and to edify others. If you hole yourself up and never talk to anyone, how can you build people up? You can’t glorify God without encouraging others.

Scripture tells us it's not good for man to lean on his understanding. As a leader of any kind- you must be willing to listen to the Lord. Today’s message with Pastor Bill shares the importance of men in leadership over their house to lean on the Lord for wisdom and not their judgment. Also, women who minister to their children- or younger women- must give advice gained from the Lord and not what they believe is best.

Belonging to a body of believers involves a dance of giving and taking. If one group of people do all the giving and never receive, the balance is off. Pastor Bill shares in today's lesson, each individual must have seasons of sharing AND receiving. If you only give, eventually, you will become burned out. If you only receive, you will wear out the generosity of the giver. This applies not just to the church but to individual relationships within the church. What does that look like in your life?
