A View From the Couch

Can’t a podcaster catch a break? The last 24 hours have seen major developments in Major League Baseball, including the last minute expansion of this year’s playoffs. Here is my best attempt to predict the unpredictable.

When something you love hurts you or let’s you down, you have to get those feelings out. Before a new season can begin, we need to clear the air. Or, as the great Frank Costanza would say, “I got a lot of problems with you people, now you’re going to hear about them.”

Two MVP candidates. A gold glove winning center fielder. A young, energetic second baseman. A guy playing on a one year deal with the hope of cashing in after betting on himself. Two guys with HUGE chips on their shoulders wanting to prove their worth. A catcher who can’t catch. The good, the better, and the Tyler Flowers. It’s time to talk about the every day lineup!

From disgusting boil on the butt of an ugly cow, to the princess of the ball, the Braves’ bullpen has been transformed in the last year. How does this year’s pen factor into the overall plan for the team, and who will end up being the closer by the time the pennate race is winding down in September. I shoot my shot on answering those questions and take a lot of shots at Luke Jackson!

As the 2020 season approaches, I take a look at the starting pitching for the Braves. Who can we count on? Who are the guys we hope step up? Why didn’t the Braves make a HUGE free agent signing to sure up the rotation? We address it all in our first episode of this he Breaking Down the Bravos series, leading up to Braves v. Mets on Opening Day 2.0!

MLB is back! MLS is back! College football players are back on campus! Hope has returned to the world of sports! Now all we need is for our luck to change completely.

We are back! 100 days until kickoff between the Dawgs and Virginia. Tare yourself away from all things Pandemic and allow yourself a break that you richly deserve. Let’s talk sports!

Chalk at the top. The Falcons screw up? And Aaron Rodgers gets Aaron Rodgered.

I’m Back! Today on the Podcast we look at the storylines surrounding tonight’s first round of the NFL Draft. Where will Tua go? Will the Falcons move up? Where do the Dawgs land? Forget about the real problems facing our world and lose yourself in something that doesn’t really matter.

Take 2 hours out of the extra day that 2020 gives you to find out if you could be a soccer fan without even knowing it. I always said I hated soccer, but now I have grown to love soccer, and Atlanta United, as much as anything other than Georgia football. This Saturday night at 8 pm can be the first step towards your personal soccer fandom. Just give it a shot!
