We are jumping into our second year of podcasting and this will be our second time doing this Christmas series of reading through the gospel counting down the days until Christmas!
Let's enjoy this audio bible reading together today.
This gospel is the shortest of all New Testament gospels and is likely the first to have been written, yet it often tells of Jesus’ ministry in more detail than either Matthew or Luke.
Does your heart long to start a family Christmas tradition? Me too! Children's pastor of Lifesong Stockton shares her family Christmas tradition of advent and how she started it. This was my first time hearing of Advent, so I'm asking questions many of you may have as well. Kelly is so anointed in children and family ministry, and I love learning from her. I'm so glad we get to have her on for her second time on the podcast!
Enjoy the FIRST Christmas episode here on AWWF the podcast!
Do you have family traditions? What do you think about passing down traditions through generations? Would you want to start something like this? Let us know on our instagram @AWalkWithfriends

The first candle (purple) symbolizes hope – the hope that the Messiah would come
The second candle (purple) symbolizes love – Gods love towards us for sending His Son Jesus to save us from our sins
The third candle (pink) symbolizes joy – the joy we find in Christ and His coming
The fourth candle (purple) symbolizes peace – the peace that comes in knowing Christ as Lord and Savior
The fifth candle is the Christ candle (white in center) which symbolizes purity
The wreath is always in the center of our table so everyday we are reminded of the Advent season.

Join us today as we meet a new friend Isaiah Leard. Isaiah is a good friend of mine, and an amazing youth leader and musician who has his fair share of roles in his local church including passionately leading a junior-high boys group.
Isaiah shares on important topics such as having godly character and addressing deeper issues and roots that hinder our growth in Jesus and in our relationships.
Such a transparent episode that helps us in life experience sharing and reminding us that in all of these things that we go through, we aren't alone!

Peter knows that his time on earth is coming to an end, and so he leaves the believers with important reminders that he tells that they will need to always remember. Peter shares about the Day of The Lord, the returning of Jesus Christ.
One of my most favorite scriptures Peter wrote in this letter, "The Lord isn't really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
Join me as we dive into Peters last letter. And as always we appreciate the support you give our podcast and youtube channel. Thank you for interacting with our episodes and sharing them with others. In 2 Peter 2, Peter is telling the believers that false teachers were present in Israel and assures the them that there will be false teachers among them as well . Peter is giving a warning to the believers and gives them things to look out for so that they will not fall away and follow them.

In 2 Peter 1, Peter discloses that he knows the Lord Jesus Christ will soon be calling Him home. Listen to the last Words of Peter as we jump into his second letter. He encourages the believers to grow in grace and knowledge as they learn of God and their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Peter also addresses false prophets and the importance knowing the scriptures and what the prophets of old have spoken, for they were moved by the Holy Spirit and speaking from God.

Join us here under the sun wherever you are, and let's walk together through the Bible series 1 Peter.
Grow and learn with me through this series as we read the letter of Apostle Peter to the Christian church scattered in the five Roman provinces of Asia Minor, located in modern-day Turkey.
The Apostle addressed the letter’s recipients as “foreigners” (1:1), a word indicating that Peter was speaking to Christians who were living their lives in such a way that they would have stood out as aliens among the surrounding culture.
Let's read and learn together what Peter means by this.
