In Chapter Three, Eleanor, forced to wed to the Duke of Trevich in order to protect her parents and people of her fief, has become a prisoner of his keep. She discovers friends as well as enemies, and finds a glimmer of hope that she might one day escape the fate the Duke has ordained for her.
