We started this podcast a year ago and said in our first ever introduction: it’s time to get real and get revolutionary. Demanding the whole earth and striving for the "impossible" is the only realistic way forward for young people today. In this episode, we cover the Gen-Z revolts that took place this summer, why communism isn't utopian, how the left has failed to capitalise on young people's anger, and what we intend to build instead. ______________________________________________________________________ 💬Send us a message on Signal: https://signal.me/#eu/r8dB8hkhKk1-M_UNj8tT4rs7R5MCAHcpiENZ71oQ9ibChCbrXpZMqYkdR7uTjxgK 👍Follow us on social media: https://www.instagram.com/aworldonfirepod/ https://www.instagram.com/revolutionarycommunists/ https://www.tiktok.com/@thecommunists ✊ Join the Revolutionary Communist Party: https://communist.red/join 📰 Subscribe to The Communist and In Defence Of Marxism: https://communist.red/subscribe 💸 Donate to the RCP: https://communist.red/donate 🌍 Read the latest international news and analysis from the RCI: https://marxist.com

We begin this season by connecting the dots between a capitalist ruling class responsible for the historic crimes of the Nakba and the crises of today: racism, war, and poverty. This is why the RCP is launching an all-out assault on British capitalism, calling to wipe out the Epstein class. In this episode, we discuss: The UK’s Role in the Nakba: Why the ruling class and the racist right (then and now) including Tommy Robinson continue to promote Zionism. The Post-Election debrief: We analyse Labour’s disastrous results and the strategic use of antisemitism allegations against the Green Party. Them vs US: Is Nigel Farage truly a man of the people, or just another tool of the establishment? _____________________________________________________________💬Send us a message on Signal: https://signal.me/#eu/r8dB8hkhKk1-M_UNj8tT4rs7R5MCAHcpiENZ71oQ9ibChCbrXpZMqYkdR7uTjxgK 👍Follow us on social media: https://www.instagram.com/aworldonfirepod/ https://www.instagram.com/revolutionarycommunists/ https://www.tiktok.com/@thecommunists ✊ Join the Revolutionary Communist Party: https://communist.red/join 📰 Subscribe to The Communist and In Defence Of Marxism: https://communist.red/subscribe💸 Donate to the RCP: https://communist.red/donate 🌍 Read the latest international news and analysis from the RCI: https://marxist.com

As the White House launches its Anti-Communist Week, the right wing seems increasingly puzzled by one question: why are so many young people in the West drawn to communist ideas and, why is their propaganda not working? In our penultimate episode of the season, Khaled and Fiona share their personal journeys; how they became communists, why they joined the Revolutionary Communist Party, and what’s driving a new generation toward revolutionary politics. This week we ask: why is the left seemingly incapable of fighting the right wing? It is not simply a question of weak organisation or a lack of working-class support for a left-wing programme. The deeper issue is that the left, as it currently exists, is organically incapable of solving the problems of the working class because it refuse to lay the blame on the capitalist system. We trace the history of the left wing surge of the 2010s, in the form of Podemos, Jeremy Corbyn and Syriza, explaining why they ended in defeat. We examine the emergence of Zack Polanski and the Greens, alongside 'Your Party' to explain where their popularity comes from. Ultimately, we argue that the reforms being put forward will only work on the basis of a struggle against the capitalist system as a whole - which is what the Revolutionary Communist Party is trying to build. Neoliberalism ; it’s the ideology said to be at the root of all our problems, right? It’s a popular buzzword, but what does it actually mean? What historical conditions gave rise to it, and can we really trace all of Britain’s issues back to the premiership of Margaret Thatcher? Fiona Lali and Khaled Malachi unpack the rise and unraveling of neoliberalism as a capitalist project, arguing that the problem runs deeper — it’s not just neoliberalism itself, but the underlying logic of the capitalist system.
