Fantasia International Film Festival 2025, the 29th edition. This is the annual film festival founded in 1996 and held primarily in Montreal, Canada. It specialises in genre films, including fantasy, horror, science fiction, and cult cinema, and draws over 100,000 attendees each year. New to this is A Year in Horror. After two incredibly successful years at Frightfest UK, we've been invited to take part in covering the big one and Marc Canale and myself can not wait to get stuck in. Today we both offer up our top 5 picks that we can not wait to see during the festival run.

Their latest album is entitled 'Dead Chanel Sky' on Sub Pop. This is what it's all about. Today we speak with Jonathan Snipes about his music, his history with horror and of course the reinvention of franchise horror that was Candyman.
