This is part 1 of our Paradise Lost special and we welcome to the show Nick Holmes, lead vocalist with the band. The film he chose to chat about? Douglas Hickox's Theatre of Blood. A ghoulish Vincent Price flick that many consider to be his greatest performance.

It's time for one of those huge episodes. Well, it's a 3 parter anyways. The 90s was a stinker of a decade for horror. That's what history tells us, well, let's investigate our selves because the old saying goes that history is written by the victors and horror always wins. So what do I think was the very greatest horror movie that came out during 1994? Well, here we have the top 5. The worst 10. A slew of also rans. Plus some bangin' mates, a few J&B whiskey's and a 4+ hour running time. This is 1994, A Year In Horror.

We kick off our coverage of Black Mirror at the beginning, appropriately enough. From here on in the series will be heading over to our patreon channels. The A Year in Horror patreon is HERE and the Talking Bollocks patreon is HERE. Pick your poison. Each channel will release all further episodes simultaneously, as if by magic going forward.
What podcast has not put out an episode on 'Weapons' yet? A Year In Horror, that's who. Now, to be different, I thought that considering the film has been out for 10 days now we could go over some of the think pieces put about about the film and take a look at some of the stats. Also, it would probably not be best to listen to this episode unless you have seen 'Weapons'. This episode is raw with no edits and is just a few hours old.
Fantasia International Film Festival 2025, the 29th edition. This is the annual film festival founded in 1996 and held primarily in Montreal, Canada. It specialises in genre films, including fantasy, horror, science fiction, and cult cinema, and draws over 100,000 attendees each year. New to this is A Year in Horror. After two incredibly successful years at Frightfest UK, we've been invited to take part in covering the big one and Marc Canale and myself can not wait to get stuck in.
