The Philadelphia Phillies have been sitting in 3rd place of the NL East for what feels like the entire season, and haverecently slipped out of the NL Wild Card spot for the MLB Playoffs. Do the Phillies have a chance at seeing some Postseason action? They are currently half a game behind the St. Louis Cardinals who got destroyed last night by theToronto Blue Jays. Tonight we will go over what would have to happen over the next few months in order for the Phillies to get back into the Playoff picture and secure a spot playing postseason MLB baseball. The Phillies have found themselves at the beginning of a losing streak following the dismal performance against the Chicago Cubs which resulted in Chicago sweeping the 3 game series. Then last night Kyle Schwarber, Nick Castellanos and company failed to secure the win over the Atlanta Braves losing 6-3. The Philles got their revenge on the defending World Series Champions earlier today with a 7-2 victory thanks to Alec Bohm, Odubel Herrera, Kyle Schwarber and J.T Realmuto setting the Phillies up for an early lead that the Braves were unable to overcome.

The MLB trade deadline is fast approaching as the league’s top contenders try to find missing pieces to their championship aspirations while the league’s bottom-dwellers look to sell their proven players for treasured assets. The guys will be discussing the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees in particular as the deadline inches closer and closer. As the Philadelphia Phillies play the Atlanta Braves tonight at home, the guys will discuss their disappointing series sweep, as they fell to the dreadful Chicago Cubs 3 games in a row. Barry is a lifelong Eagles fan that has manifested his passion for the Birds into a brick-and-mortar love letter to those that bleed green! Meanwhile there has been a huge shakeup with the Eagles pre-game show. With the retirement of Ray Diddinger and the announcement of Seth Joyner stepping away, the news of a new Jakib Media pre game show has dropped. The new lineup will be Derrick Gunn, Devan Kay and the 2 big guns Seth Joyner and Mike Missanelli! It will be interesting to see how Missanelli and Seth Joyner agree to disagree as they can both be a bit long winded and Missanelli can be a bit of a “know it all”. Missanelli has certainly earned that right with over 20+ years on the mic but that doesn’t mean he knows more than Seth who was actually on the field as an All Pro and Super Bowl champion. It should be interesting to see how these two bounce off each other. If anyone watched the debacle that was the 110m finals with Devon Allen you had to be shaking your head. There were already previous questionable false starts but this one was arguably the worst. You kicked the hometown kid out of the finals when he was the projected favorite?! He didn’t even jump the gun! The computer calculated that he couldn’t have reacted that fast AFTER THE GUN! That was a travesty and the shameful part is that they will probably change the rule after it has done its damage.

The Philadelphia Phillies, fresh off the All Star Break and sweeping the Miami Marlins, get a few more days off before they kick off the second half of the season with a 3 game series against the Chicago Cubs. Only 8.5 games behind the New York Mets can the Phillies still make a push and become the top dog in the NL East? Given that the very next series for the Phillies is against the Atlanta Braves, some would say that there is a very good chance the Phillies can change the landscape of the National League. In order to do that though the Phillies need to improve the roster. Should they start with finding a center fielder or another pitcher? Which position needs more immediate help? What are some names you would like to see the Phillies go after before the trade deadline?



Last night the American League took down the National League with a score of 3-2 in the MLB All Star Game. Giancarlo Stanton hit a two run home run in the 4th only to be followed up immediately by Byron Buxton’s solo home run putting the American League in the driver seat and the National League could never catch up. Washington National Juan Soto took home the trophy in this year's Home Run Derby during the All Star Break festivities. Soto has also been in the news lately after rejecting the recent offer made by the Nationals to resign with the team once his contract expires. Where will the Home Run Derby Champion find himself? Also coming out of the Home Run Derby, many Philadelphia Phillies fans think that Kyle Schwarber was robbed in his round against St. Louis Cardinals Albert Pujols. The MLB has come out and said they stand by the count, but what do you think?


With Eagles training camp 6 days away, the guys will discuss their thoughts on the upcoming season and whether they have a legitimate chance at contending in the NFC. The big topic at hand will be whether Jalen Hurts can continue to grow and progress his arm. If this is the case, the Eagles should be in consideration for top seed in the NFC, something that has not happened since their Super Bowl win in 2017-2018.

James Harden signs a two-year deal worth $69 million with the Philadelphia 76ers. Harden will make $33M for the 2022/2023 season & has the player option for $35.6M in 2023/2024. He can move right back into free agency & negotiate another new deal next summer.

The Philadelphia sports scene has been an absolute train wreck both recently and historicity but the Philadelphia Flyers seem poised to set a new bar for failure in the upcoming years. A rebuild seems to be well underway and we will break down just how bad it can get for the Flyers in the coming years.
