The Philadelphia Phillies have been sitting in 3rd place of the NL East for what feels like the entire season, and haverecently slipped out of the NL Wild Card spot for the MLB Playoffs. Do the Phillies have a chance at seeing some Postseason action? They are currently half a game behind the St. Louis Cardinals who got destroyed last night by theToronto Blue Jays. Tonight we will go over what would have to happen over the next few months in order for the Phillies to get back into the Playoff picture and secure a spot playing postseason MLB baseball. The Phillies have found themselves at the beginning of a losing streak following the dismal performance against the Chicago Cubs which resulted in Chicago sweeping the 3 game series. Then last night Kyle Schwarber, Nick Castellanos and company failed to secure the win over the Atlanta Braves losing 6-3. The Philles got their revenge on the defending World Series Champions earlier today with a 7-2 victory thanks to Alec Bohm, Odubel Herrera, Kyle Schwarber and J.T Realmuto setting the Phillies up for an early lead that the Braves were unable to overcome.

The MLB trade deadline is fast approaching as the league’s top contenders try to find missing pieces to their championship aspirations while the league’s bottom-dwellers look to sell their proven players for treasured assets. The guys will be discussing the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees in particular as the deadline inches closer and closer. As the Philadelphia Phillies play the Atlanta Braves tonight at home, the guys will discuss their disappointing series sweep, as they fell to the dreadful Chicago Cubs 3 games in a row. Will the Phillies be able to turn it around? Will they finally end a 10 year playoff drought? Only time will tell. With NFL training camps quickly approaching this week, the guys will be taking a first hand look at the NFC East teams and what the rosters are looking like for each squad. Are the Philadelphia Eagles set up to take down the New York Giants, Washington Commanders, and the Dallas Cowboys?

Are the Philadelphia 76ers currently a top 3 team in the Eastern Conference? Is a Sixers roster featuring Joel Embiid, James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, PJ Tucker, DeAnthony Melton, Danuel House, Matisse Thybulle, George Niang good enough to go on a serious playoff run in 2022/23?

What are your expectations for James Harden? Will he have a “bounce back” season after signing his new deal with the Philadelphia 76ers?

Vince McMahon shocked the wrestling world yesterday when he announced his retirement from the WWE. Amidst all the allegations and scandal surrounding the former chairman and CEO, it is very hard to ignore the last 40 years of entertainment that he has provided us. Speaking of SummerSlam, tonight we preview the biggest party of the summer. Will Brock Lesnar dethrone Roman Reigns and take back the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship? Can the Street Profits finally capture the RAW and Smackdown Tag Team titles from The Usos? Will Jeff Jarrett be the deciding factor? What will happen to Happy Corbin once Pat McAfee gets his hands on him? Can Liv Morgan retain her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey? Then to end the show, our favorite Run-In segment, where we talk about anything and everything that is on our minds. Join in the conversation tonight on In This Very Ring!

To kick off this week’s BOAF show, the crew will discuss the rumors of the Philadelphia Eagles’ potential interest in trading for Cincinnati Bengals safety Jessie Bates. Assuming it doesn’t require giving up a 1st round pick, should the Eagles trade for Bates? Is he the missing piece the team needs to go from being a contender for the division to being a contender for the Super Bowl? Are you ok with having to pay Bates a big contract? In the 2nd half of the show, the guys will go outside the box a bit and hold a fictional football character draft! Each ofthem will take turns selecting a QB, RB, WR, Defensive Player, and Head Coach from any movie or TV show. The only stipulation is that the character must be fictional. Once the draft is over, let us know which team is your favoriteand if there are other characters who went undrafted that should have been taken. Finally, to finish off the show, the guys go “No Huddle” and pull out all the stops as they discuss several quick and rapid topics from the world of sports and beyond!

Barry Vagnoni is my guest as he gives us a tour of his Eagles Locker Room! A restaurant-sized man cave that would give Chickie and Pete’s a run for its money. Barry is a lifelong Eagles fan that has manifested his passion for the Birds into a brick-and-mortar love letter to those that bleed green! Meanwhile there has been a huge shakeup with the Eagles pre-game show. With the retirement of Ray Diddinger and the announcement of Seth Joyner stepping away, the news of a new Jakib Media pre game show has dropped. The new lineup will be Derrick Gunn, Devan Kay and the 2 big guns Seth Joyner and Mike Missanelli! It will be interesting to see how Missanelli and Seth Joyner agree to disagree as they can both be a bit long winded and Missanelli can be a bit of a “know it all”. Missanelli has certainly earned that right with over 20+ years on the mic but that doesn’t mean he knows more than Seth who was actually on the field as an All Pro and Super Bowl champion. It should be interesting to see how these two bounce off each other. If anyone watched the debacle that was the 110m finals with Devon Allen you had to be shaking your head. There were already previous questionable false starts but this one was arguably the worst. You kicked the hometown kid out of the finals when he was the projected favorite?! He didn’t even jump the gun! The computer calculated that he couldn’t have reacted that fast AFTER THE GUN! That was a travesty and the shameful part is that they will probably change the rule after it has done its damage.

The Philadelphia Phillies, fresh off the All Star Break and sweeping the Miami Marlins, get a few more days off before they kick off the second half of the season with a 3 game series against the Chicago Cubs. Only 8.5 games behind the New York Mets can the Phillies still make a push and become the top dog in the NL East? Given that the very next series for the Phillies is against the Atlanta Braves, some would say that there is a very good chance the Phillies can change the landscape of the National League. In order to do that though the Phillies need to improve the roster. Should they start with finding a center fielder or another pitcher? Which position needs more immediate help? What are some names you would like to see the Phillies go after before the trade deadline?

Last night the American League took down the National League with a score of 3-2 in the MLB All Star Game. Giancarlo Stanton hit a two run home run in the 4th only to be followed up immediately by Byron Buxton’s solo home run putting the American League in the driver seat and the National League could never catch up. Washington National Juan Soto took home the trophy in this year's Home Run Derby during the All Star Break festivities. Soto has also been in the news lately after rejecting the recent offer made by the Nationals to resign with the team once his contract expires. Where will the Home Run Derby Champion find himself? Also coming out of the Home Run Derby, many Philadelphia Phillies fans think that Kyle Schwarber was robbed in his round against St. Louis Cardinals Albert Pujols. The MLB has come out and said they stand by the count, but what do you think?

With Eagles training camp 6 days away, the guys will discuss their thoughts on the upcoming season and whether they have a legitimate chance at contending in the NFC. The big topic at hand will be whether Jalen Hurts can continue to grow and progress his arm. If this is the case, the Eagles should be in consideration for top seed in the NFC, something that has not happened since their Super Bowl win in 2017-2018.

Is the Philadelphia 76ers 2022/23 roster the “best team” of the Joel Embiid era? Is the Sixers roster featuring Joel Embiid, James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, PJ Tucker, De’Anthony Melton, Danuel House & Mattise Thybulle going enough to push the 76ers further than in recent years.

James Harden signs a two-year deal worth $69 million with the Philadelphia 76ers. Harden will make $33M for the 2022/2023 season & has the player option for $35.6M in 2023/2024. He can move right back into free agency & negotiate another new deal next summer.

The Philadelphia sports scene has been an absolute train wreck both recently and historicity but the Philadelphia Flyers seem poised to set a new bar for failure in the upcoming years. We will break down the Flyers off-season and draft and try to figure out what the organization's plan is. We will also take a look at the NHL as a whole.

The Philadelphia Phillies finished the first half strong with a sweep of the Marlins in Miami. They currently sit 6 games over 500 and hold a wildcard spot in the NL Playoffs. What does the second half hold for this team? We will also look at the MLB as a whole and check in on the Home Run Derby.
