The Philadelphia Flyers have taken two rough losses since last week’s Calgary Flames OT thriller. They battled back to tie the Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning and engaged in a tumultuous overtime period before going down in a shootout (can we get rid of those already?). The club then hosted the Boston Bruins and took a beating. The worst loss was in the Calgary game when Flyers forward Kevin Hayes suffered a reinjury and is now considered week-to-week per Jordan Hall of NBCSports Philadelphia. Tonight, however, the Flyers hit the road to take on the same Tampa Bay Lightning from less than a week ago! Will the Flyers be able to bounce back and have their revenge? The Philadelphia Eagles finally rode their home woes yesterday by defeating the visiting New Orleans Saints 40-29. The run game was once again the storyline as Miles Sanders returned from his low ankle sprain, posting 94 yards on 16 carries. Jordan Howard added 63 yards on 10 carries before leaving the game with a back injury, and Jalen Hurts had an exceptional game on the ground leaving the field with 69 yards on 18 carries and posting 3 touchdowns on the ground including an exceptional zone-read play where he iced the game with his last rushing touchdown. The guys will analyze what has been clicking since that embarrassment in Las Vegas. Topics on the recent success will include dominant O-Line play, the defense continues to step up against average QBs, and Darius “Big Play” Slay creeping into discussions as the DPOY.
