Its FA Cup weekend ladies and gentlemen! Lots of close games, a ton of draws that will result in a replay, some major beatdowns, and a few upsets. Saturday saw Chelsea get a very sloppy win at Hull City 2-1, English Championship side West Brom beat West Ham 1-0, and Leicester City got a 1-0 victory as well over Championship side Brentford. Sunday’s action kicked off with Manchester City disposing of Championship side Fulham 4-0, Manchester United destroyed poor English League One Tranmere Rovers 6-0 (ouch), and finally, the almighty Liverpool tied League One Shrewsbury Town 2-2 to force a replay! A lot of Premier League teams decided to play their “2nd team” or call up some academy kids to play this weekend. So do you think more teams should care about the FA Cup instead of using their “2nd team” or academy kids? The biggest news was the passing of former NBA superstar Kobe Bryant on Sunday. His love for soccer and the impact he had on the game was known throughout the world. Growing up in Italy when he was young opened his eyes to the beautiful game. He will go down as one of the best of all time. Not just for his play on the court but his unwavering love for his daughter, Gigi, who also passed away. With that being said, the Messi/Ronaldo debate will go on forever as to who is the GOAT in the soccer world. And as always we will talk about all the world hot topics from the past week. To finish up the show we will have the “Red Card-Yellow Card” segment which will have the lads put some people on notice!
