The Philadelphia Eagles, according to Vegas Insider, are currently at 12-to-1 to win Super Bowl 54. The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots, as of August 25, are both locked in at 6-to-1 while the Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints are all tied with the Eagles at 12-to-1. All four of the NFC teams have identical 5-to-1 odds to reach the Super Bowl while the two AFC contenders both have 11-to-4 odds to reach the big game. The Philadelphia Eagles played their 3 rd preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, losing 26-15 before the game was cancelled due to weather. The 1st team offense led by Cody Kessler (Carson Wentz did not play) struggled, but the offense led by newly signed Josh McCown played well, scoring 2 touchdowns.

The biggest winner from the outing was JJ Arcega-Whiteside. The rookie WR had 8 catches for 104 yards and a touchdown. How confident are you in JJAW going into 2019? Will he be a key contributor this season, or will it take
a year or two for him to find a consistent role? We’ll talk about the expectations we have for him, as well as our other reactions from the game. Then we’ll discuss the biggest news from this past weekend: Andrew Luck’s surprising retirement. Was it wrong of him to retire only weeks before the season, or does he have every right to make this decision for his health? And where does this leave the Colts? Can Jacoby Brissett be the guy for them? We’ll also discuss Lamar Miller’s season-ending injury and what it means for the Texans’ backfield. The Philadelphia Phillies suffered their worst loss of the season Friday night versus the Miami Marlins. Manager Gabe Kapler "wouldn't rank" the loss himself, however, the Phillies once led that game 7-0 and 9-7 before ultimately losing 19-11. After sweeping the Boston Red Sox in an abbreviated two-game series the Phillies needed a sweep of the lowly Marlins before heading home for six straight home games. The Phillies have reached the part of the season where just winning series isn't enough, they need to go streaking.

We saw a lot of positives and negatives from every team in the league. Josh McCown got a taste of NFL action since coming out of retirement and showed he’s a solid back up to Carson Wentz rookie WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside impressed as well. The Dallas Cowboys continue to show the inconsistencies of their front office by resigning Jaylen Smith and offering Ezekiel Elliott a contract only making him the 2nd highest paid RB in football.
