Employee Appreciation celebrations should come AFTER your company is paying all of its taxes, providing good benefits, paying fair/equitable/thriving wages, and generally running an ethical business inside and out. These tips are NOT for companies like Sephora who earned $10 Billion Dollars and "rewarded" their employees with custom-printed sugar cookies bragging about their banner year, or Amazon, a company that penalizes employees for taking bathroom breaks and pays less in corporate taxes (percentage-wise) than I do every year.
Drink some water, enjoy the company pizza party, and ask for a raise! You deserve it. xo Jess
