Even with everything happening in the world, many have their eyes on the economy. Today we tackled the nation’s financial health from two vastly different sectors, restaurants and Wall Street.

Today’s first guest, Michael Chernow, is a celebrity chef, entrepreneur, and author. Michael opened up about the difficulties his restaurants have experienced over the last few months and the difficulties the industry as a whole faces in the immediate future. He also talked in-depth about his business mantra, “Fail often. Fail fast. Learn from your mistakes.” Michael also offered up a great analogy comparing success to a pro-sports team and how you’re only as strong as your worst player. Our second guest knows the economy inside and out. Danielle DiMartino Booth is the CEO and Chief Strategist of Quill Intelligence. She’s also worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Danielle had some tough-talk for the Fed including how it is propping up “zombie businesses.” She says our economy is going through a major transformation right now and why consumer spending habits could be changed forever. Danielle and Jeffrey also wade into the politics of the moment and Danielle offered what she thinks could cost President Trump the election.
