Happy Belated Independence Day!
How are you feeling about your independence?
Are you feeling as independent as you'd like to feel?
Are you feeling too independent?
These are the questions we're talking about today.
In this episode, I share why we do need to be independent when it comes to certain things, how society might be pushing some women to be too independent, why it's important to acknowledge the times we don't want to do something independently, how some women wear independence like a shield or badge of honor, why we need to stop reflexively saying no when others offer to help us, the two things I want you to do this coming week, and more.

It's summertime here in the U.S. and that means flowers are blooming, animals are scurrying about, and Mother Nature is buzzing with life and energy.
But, what about you? What makes you buzz with that kind of energy and are you doing enough of that thing?
In this episode, I dive more into the idea of doing things that make you buzz, why we need to take advantage when the world is buzzing with energy, what makes me buzz, the question I want you to ask yourself after you figure out what makes you buzz, how your buzz list can be a powerful tool in handling bad news or negative experiences, and more.

In my most recent Vision Board Masterclass, we talked about shame and guilt. It was a theme amongst the attendees that they're in a place of transition where they're thinking about themselves first and how that's causing them to feel guilty and shameful.
That cannot be my friends and I thought it best to bring this topic over to the Abandon Ordinary podcast in case you're experiencing these feelings as well.
In this episode, I share why we need to put ourselves first in order to serve others best, where this shame and guilt comes from, an example of how this is playing out for one of my clients who's become the go-to person in her family for practically everything, why you can't put things on your vision board that include how other people act and feel, and more.

I was looking at my vision board recently and I realized that I have a lot of photos of people and family in groups and at gatherings. This realization is the inspiration for today's chat.
In this episode, I share how we sometimes easily let our family be broken up, what I mean when I refer to our "families", why our capacity for checking in on our family have diminished, why we need to show grace to people who might not be showing up for us in the way we expect, the steps I want you to take after listening to this episode, and more.

If I were to tell you that I want you to start looking at yourself with intense beauty, would think that was strange or confusing? If so, don't worry because that's exactly what I'm breaking down for you today.
In this episode, I share how it can be challenging to authentically and holistically show up as ourselves if there are things about ourselves we don't like, the lessons I learned after looking at my thighs with intense beauty, what I mean when I say to look at yourself with intense beauty, how looking at ourselves with intense beauty will help improve how we treat others as human beings, why it's important to start with focusing on just looking at one part of your body with intense beauty, and more.

I recorded this episode early in the morning because I had lots of things to harvest that day. Luckily, that's the exact topic I want to discuss with you today.
In this episode, I share how we tend to overlook the importance of focusing on our best planting seasons and instead plant all the time, what it means when we're always planting seeds, examples of the types of seeds we're planting every single day, an exercise I want you to do to help you better understand the seeds you're planting, and more.

I hope you're open to the topic of this episode because I want to talk about … space travel.
Don't worry. I don't mean actual space travel.
I'm talking about traveling to find your space.
In this episode, I share how I've found that often-times people inaccurately believe travel isn't accessible to them, the truth behind the limiting belief that you don't have the time or money to travel, why it's so important that you shift your environment every so often, the power of traveling to a space that isn't anxiety-inducing, how you can start space-traveling without physically leaving your home, the challenge I have for all of us, what I want you to do in the next ten days, and more.

Where do you feel like your thoughts, ideas, and feelings are being heard?
Is it here in the Abandon Ordinary space?
I hope so, because the more of us who can be heard and figure out what we want, the happier and healthier we'll all be.
In this episode, I share what I mean when I saw where can you be heard and how it's not necessarily in the physical sense, how we're putting pressure on ourselves to show up in the world in a certain way, what we need to do before we show up in the world, the spaces where I'm able to hear myself, how practically having never lived alone gave me plenty of experience with how to a quiet space to hear myself, what happens if we hear everyone else before we hear ourselves, how asking yourself what you're doing too much of can help you find the time to hear yourself, what I what you to spend the next week doing, and more.

Recently I had a conversation with one of my sisters about how we make decisions and it stemmed from a reading I had done with a profit named Tasha where she confirmed that my life has worked out in all the wonderful ways it has because I'm an intuitive person who uses my instincts as a guide.
It's with that in mind that I share today's message with you.
In this episode, I share how your gut is the vacation home of your soul, why you can never be sure you're making the right decision if you don't act from your gut first, the process I use to make all my successful decisions, how you can practice paying attention to your gut, and more.

I was raised by an incredible man, Sam Wooten, and a few weeks ago was the anniversary of his passing. What's interesting about this is that, while it's been 30 years since he passed, it feels like he's still here with me and I know that he is still helping me and sending me messages. In fact, he sent me a message on this most recent anniversary and that's what I want to share with you today.
In this episode, I share how my father's message to me is connected to comedian George Carlin, how George's idea of a "next lifetime" is like living your life in reverse, why you don't have to wait until your next lifetime to take advantage of the benefits of this concept, how the gift of waking up each day is really the gift of getting to do something with that day, how gratitude is the key to having that next lifetime experience right now, how the peanut gallery can throw us off our square if we let them, and the commitment I want us to make to each other.
