Though Peter had his fair share of failures, he rebounded in fine fashion, and would end up glorifying God through his death. What a great role model for us to consider, as you can be sure we’ll fail too. And by God’s grace He can still lead us to victory. Let’s see together how the apostle Peter is restored to fellowship and service with God as pastor Ed Taylor finishes up our study of John.

As we go through our Christian life, the temptation will arise to abandon God’s calling and purpose. Perhaps we reach a place of discouragement, or are running on empty. It may look appealing, but as we’ll see today on Abounding Grace it leads to emptiness. Be encouraged instead to listen to the Lord and obey Him.

Have you ever poured the wrong kind of fuel into your truck or car? Perhaps you accidentally put diesel fuel into your gas engine. Well you probably didn’t get very far! Today on Abounding Grace we’ll learn that many are trying to live the Christian life by their own strength and that’s the wrong fuel so to speak. The much better route to take is to live by the power of the Spirit. Pastor Ed Taylor discusses that in his message on the Empowering Work of the Holy Spirit from John chapter twenty.

We’re in John chapter twenty today. When I mention the disciple Thomas what comes to mind? If you’re like most you think of the word, Doubting. But as we’ll learn today, Thomas very often gets a bad rap. When he got the news that Jesus was alive, he wasn’t quick to believe. He needed more information. Maybe that’s where you’re at today? You want some evidence before you’ll believe. You'll want to hear this message.

We’re at the tail-end of a study in the gospel of John. After Jesus died on the cross and was raised to new life, He made a special reappearance on earth to prove that He was alive. Not everyone reacted as you might expect one didn’t realize it was Him and another wanted more evidence. We get all the details as we join pastor Ed in John chapter twenty for his message, Do not be Unbelieving but Believing.
