Think the Christian life is going to be easy? Think again! Just like the man we’ll hear about today, we can expect turmoil, difficulty, tribulation and spiritual warfare. We’re living in a day and age where divorce is very common even in the church. In fact, if you’re an adult and both of your parents are still married to each other, you’re in the minority sad to say! Well, it wasn’t all that different in Jesus’ day. In fact, some Jewish rabbis taught that you could divorce your wife for just about anything -- even burning your dinner! But what about something a little more serious? Something like being married to an unbeliever -- is that grounds for divorce? It really is sad to see how lightly marriage is taken these days. The divorce rate, the laws that are in place, and even the living together prior to marriage just goes to show how far we’ve declined as a society.
