Pastor Ed Taylor will be sharing a message based on the twelfth chapter of Acts and John chapter fifteen. The Lord never promised us a trouble-free life! Rather He said we should expect persecution and suffering in our walk. At this point in the early church tragedy strikes. James was killed and Peter thrown in prison. It’s interesting to note that the church would respond by praying. Pastor Ed Taylor is about to encourage us to trust in and pray to the God just as they did. We’re to expect suffering as we go through life, and as we’ll discover today God wants to be our comforter through it all. So whether you’ve lost a job recently, or have trouble at home, or have a difficult work environment, let’s find comfort and strength in our Lord now and see how to pass it on to others! Maybe you’ve noticed, God loves to setup teams to accomplish the ministry He calls us to. And very often the people teaming up in the ministry couldn’t be more different! Take Saul and Barnabus for example. We’ll see them serving together as a team today, and they were different, but that’s ok! The Lord wanted it that way. Today on Abounding Grace we’ll be encouraged to get involved in the work of the Lord, as we take you back to Acts chapter eleven, verses 19-30. We’ll take you to Acts chapter eleven today. Verses 19-30 describes a major development in the church. God is now choosing to make a Gentile city the center for missions. This was huge, as we’re about to see. And there are some important ministry lessons to glean from this as well. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/302/29
