Should we be more like the Americans?
Is politics a distraction from the gospel?
Is it unreasonable to expect non-Christians to behave more Christianly?
Is being publicly pro-life meant to be part of our Christian witness?
Dave calls in Rhys Laverty to help us think through some of the peculiarities of British evangelicalism. What are we like, and how did we end up this way?
Here's what Rhys is up to:
"I currently work for The Davenant Institute as Senior Editor at Ad Fontes (our journal, published in print quarterly and with weekly online content) and as Managing Editor at The Davenant Press (with book publications).
Our work focuses on the riches of classical Protesantism in church history, retrieving them in order to renew and build up the contemporary church. Our focus is on scholars, educated pastors, and interesed laypeople.
My editorial work includes commissioning, collaborating with authors, modernising historic works, typesetting, podcasting, and more.
Alongisde this, I am studying Davenant's M.Litt in Classical Protestantism."
