Tune in and turn up to find out just what works (not much) and doesn't work (everything else) about the podcast's very first Disney IP based on the video game of the same name. Then Listen to them rewind time and talk about Predator instead.
Join the fellas as they loosely discuss 1994's Street Fighter starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Conversation really floats away in this episode but together we all learn a little bit more about Muay Thai, UFC, Sumo Wrestling, and Mancow. So if you love Street Fighter, UFC, and/or Mancow, this episode is tailor made just for you. If you don't well, its still a great time with the boys. Crank up that volume and hang with your favorite maximum effort/minimal listener podcast with About That Action.
Blade Trinity is the third and final installment in the Blade franchise. A movie that was met to low critic appeal but still was able to make well over its budget back. Join the fellas of About That Action to hear their thoughts on this critically panned film from a much beloved franchise.
Loosen those hips for some karate round house action with Blade 2. In this sequel to one of the most influential comic book movies of all time, vampires get a little bit of an upgrade, becoming faster, stronger, and harder to kill. Tune in to About That Action as they discuss just what makes this movie great as well as going on maybe more side tangents then ever heard before. If you love action, and you love regular guys having a good time discussing it then you'll love About That Action.
Blade is an absolute staple of not just action movies but comic book movies in general. Without it, we would truly not have the Marvel Cinematic Universe we do today (for better or for worse) and the fellas absolutely loved this movie. So put on your bulletproof vest, sharpen your katana, roll up some garlic, and listen to About That Action tackle one of the best comic book movies ever made.
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters came out in 2013 to more or less middling reviews but the fellas think they were DEAD wrong! Sit back and listen to what the boys thought of this box office smash hit yet somehow criminally overlooked action/adventure.
The Boys cover an absolute action classic with Highlander. Unanimously loved by all 3 of the fellas, this movie does not have the expected Goldie Locks scenario of opinions like we have come to love and appreciate. This movie is a banger through and through and even on a time crunch, they deliver one hell of an episode. So sit back, assemble your sword, do some pushups, and crank up that volume for About That Action.
On episode 2 of the fantasy block of films, the gang covers Solomon Kane from 2010. Although not considered a fantasy classic by any means, still an overall solid sword and sorcery tale of a former violent pirate turned holy man in search of a girl he swore to protect. So pop in those headphones, sharpen your cutlas, and prepare for some grim fantasy with About That Action.
Kicking off the fantasy block of films was Marsh's suggestion for 13th Warrior. A film about an Arab man living amongst Vikings and helping them to vanquish a seemingly impossible evil. This movie was overall favored by the group and now YOU the listener can find out why. So sit back and turn up those headphones, crack your knuckles, sharpen your blade, and get ready to be About That Action.
Unfortunately for the squad, we watched Expendables 4, but luckily for listeners it ended up being a much more fun conversation. The final installment of The Expendables unfortunately crashes the plane after riding the high of 3 but the fellas' collective frustration shines through with one of the most EXPLOSIVE and CONTROVERSIAL episodes to date. Join the pod as they discuss potential nicknames, rewrites, and tons of other nonsense on this weeks episode of About That Action.
