That moment when you realize you’re older than the characters on Friends…

On this episode of About That Life, we randomly delve into the inner workings of this wildly popular 90s TV show, discussing the depth of each character, the dynamics of their relationships, the diversity (or lack thereof) reflected in their show, and of course, who would end up a handmaid in Gilead, Rachel, Monica, or Phoebe?

Is there a polite way of silencing haters? Maybe, but the older we get, the less effs we give to peoples negative comments. Here are our thoughts on getting unsolicited “advice” or criticism from people who aren’t invested in our lives or businesses.

It’s BEEN A MINUTE, but we’re back! Between building companies, starting a Youtube channel, and still trying to have a social life, we’ve quite ourselves pretty busy! One might even say that we’re working too much, but, is there even such a thing as working too much? We discuss what sexual misconduct and workplace harassment mean for men everywhere. Is it fair to pin all men as “disgusting” for what a few men have done? What can and should men do to stand up against these problems? Is there anything they really can do? All this and more on this episode of About That Life with Will and Octavia.

Mediocre just happens. Dreams require intentionality and courage. Between traveling the world, excelling in our careers, growing in our relationship(s), and building our businesses, we’re now living out the dreams we set in motion 10 years ago. Here’s our perspective on what it really means to “live your dreams”, and what we’re dreaming about for the next 10 years of our life together.

There’s truly nothing quite like waking up in your tent to the sounds of birds chirping, seeing the rising sun hitting the tops of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and…hoping that the baboons lurking nearby won’t steal your breakfast! Ah yes, beautiful Kenya, with its beautiful wildlife, resilient people, and its miles and miles of dusty roads. This wasn’t just any old vacation…it was an epic adventure.

On Aug. 30th, we lost someone near and dear to our hearts. As we grappled with the loss, unfortunately we also had to handle many frustrating administrative aspects of making “final arrangements”. There’s nothing like a funeral to bring up family secrets, drama, and random Uncles counterproductively trying to “help”.
