It's finally here, The Florida Tow Show is in a new Hotel and Venue. Miller industries, Jerr-Dan, and NRC are all going to be there trying to convince us to make new purchases but will any of them introduce some groundbreaking new equipment? We also discuss wrecks you hope not to get, Vermont's proposed $40 tow cap and add a little to our last discussion about Alabama's problems... or are they?

Did you hear about the latest slap in the Towing Industry's face? If not, get ready to be pissed off, angry, disrespected and well... crapped on. What qualifies Alabama to set rates? Do they know each and every tower's costs to provide service? Do they differentiate the hack with the 750 who keeps lanes shut for two hours vs. the trained professional who shows up with a rotator and opens the roads in 45 minutes? Do they have any information needed to make an accurate assessment of fees? Of course not.

Wouldn't it be nice if our industry would work together to fix its problems? Wouldn't be nice if we could accomplish this with a letter?

How are there so many towers still not seeing the light and understanding that we all need to stand together? Tow companies who stab each other in the back are stabbing themselves in the back. Swallow your foolish pride and let's work together to boot those who don't deserve to be there off and help those who do gain respect and earn what they are worth.
