Dior Sharp is the sound tech at Laugh Factory Chicago. While he's relatively new to the comedy world, for the past few months he has been watching hours of standup, every single day, from his sound booth. He is a very interesting guy and has a unique view on the comedy scene. Plus his real name is Dior Sharp, which is pretty cool all by itself.

Year after year, comics who make it big in Chicago leave the city that raised them for either New York or Los Angeles. Danny Kallas and Mike Stanley, two of Chicago's most popular comics, have reached that point in their careers. I sat down with them discuss whether or not it's possible to sustain a standup career in Chicago, and whether or not Chicago will always be seen as a stepping stone to bigger and better things on the coasts.
