This time we bring you Lukas aka Lucas Freire, a Brazilian DJ and producer based in the city of Barcelona, Spain. Known for his unique mixing technique and for his singular vibrating and energetic performances.

Started his DJ career in 2000 developing a great connection with the crowd over the years by playing in some of the best clubs and festivals all over The Globe. His rich knowledge of the industry and intense commitment in numerous projects helped to expand the Electronic Music Culture in Brazil. In 2004 he made his first tour in Europe and became known internationally.

New installment of the ABSCAST mix series featuring Messiahwaits, DJ and producer from South Korea. He is also resident of the warehouse event "High Tech Seoul", run by Mixmag, and the mastermind behind the fresh new label "Mhz".

His djing style approaches music as an art form rather than falling into genres and common stereotypes. Frequently he takes the crowd on a musical journey filled with droning atmospheres, repetitive jacking rhythms and dark-disturbed auras that never fails to send the dance floor into a frenzy. As a producer he honed his skills in the German city of Berlin where he worked closely with the local label GND Records, releasing two EPs with them. He has several releases in other labels including a track on the eighth edition of the well-known Berghain mixes by Ostgut Ton.

Nic Drumatic is an experimented DJ from Germany who started on the early 90s with a small sound system and huge motivations, playing a lot of House and Electro vinyls in many clubs, parties and festivals around his country.

At the rise of the new Millenium he changed his style of music and began to play the fresh sound of Drum N Bass. One year later he took a break from DJing and embraced some non-dance projects. In the year 2013 he rebooted his passion this time focused on Techno sounds and started to move bodies on the dancefloor again. In 2014 he became resident of some local clubs like Rotunde, Projekt-X, Schumacher or parties like Pure-e, Four Hours, Donner or Doria.

Since 2019 he has been part of the international Paralisis project.

In this new installment of the ABSCAST mix series we present Chimachine, one of our core artists and a Cuba's Techno Scene regular. With just a few years active as a DJ he has great support among the artists and ravers thanks to his well curated and dance-floor focused sets.

Raw, muscular and hypnotic sounds that plays with textures and acid lines could describe the character of his sessions. Tons of influence from the 90s and 2000s and a great programming as well as a killer selection, smoother at times and more harder other times, are the elements that truly characterize him at his sets. Also great tracks released previously on the label and many more to come makes this Cuban asset a real diamond of the local scene.

For our ninth installment of the ABSCAST mix series we'll be presenting Julio César Iglesias Ungo aka J-Lawton. Techno artist and Cuban promoter who has been linked to music and art in general from a very young age. Also main man and key figure of our actual rising scene and nightlife.

As a Techno DJ he has been developing his career in Europe for more than 10 years. His sets are loaded with dark and energetic sounds defending styles such as Industrial, EBM and Hard Techno. He has played in places such as Berghain (Berlin), Mondo Disko (Madrid), De School (Amsterdam), Schumacher Club (Bochum) or Baum Festival (Bogotá). As a producer he has made music for important companies of Contemporary Dance worldwide. He is currently working on his latest project "Parálisis" of which he is a resident DJ and promoter. He was also co-founder of the first Hard Techno Rave event in Havana, the now-disappeared "Rusty Nails", where he regularly invited important artists from the Berlin scene and laid the groundwork of what is now the Techno / Rave scene in Cuba.

Eighth installment of the ABSCAST mix series presenting one of the most promising young artists inside the Techno Scene in Cuba, Einsiedler. With only 23 years he is already a resident of two parties that makes up the Rave Movement in Havana and he is also co-founder of one of them.

His greatest influences come from Rock, Punk and New Wave. In his DJ sets we can find a mixture of this influences carried in a more current context and also some of IDM, EBM and Trance. As a producer he has released on our platform as part of the recent Formless Vol. 2 compilation and also on Gomboc Records from Buenos Aires and Ismus from Berlin, receiving very good support from the Industry. Soon his debut EP for one of these labels will be coming to light, so we recommend you to not lose track of this young promise.

Michał Aleksiewicz aka Szmer is a young DJ and Producer from Poland. He has been active in European's Techno scene since 2011 and played in many events and venues such as Tresor or Suicide Circus in Berlin. As a producer he has released under several aliases during the years.

His djing can be described as obscure, powerful and very club focused. It has an excellent technique and precision when mixing and also is a very careful selector. His productions can be labeled as old-school influenced and very faithful to the early Techno roots and classic sounds. Artists which inspires him are Jeff Mills, Planetary Assault Systems, Oscar Mulero, Jeroen Search or Sterac aka Steve Rachmad.

For the sixth installment of the ABSCAST mix series we present X-Alox, Cuban DJ and producer born and based in Havana. Founder and resident of the prolific rave "Pure Techno" that takes place every month in the city. Establishing himself as one of the main and most active exponents of the scene.

His sets are characterized by having strong influences from Industrial Techno and a very dynamic-aggressive aesthetic. Eclectic and forward-thinking selector always showing a wide range of sounds. He is part of the growing Cuban Techno movement with Hioll, Åre:gone, Einsiedler, among other talented artists. This year he will also begin to be regular in the Abstraction family roster with several releases.

The Chronics is a prolific Geneva based artist who started off by simply playing in his basement for a few friends. He rapidly marked his success by distinctly embodying the unconventional and progressive local Techno scene. Thanks to his work ethic, ambition and creativity in the studio he was able to found the well-known label Bipolar Disorder Records.

Having established his label he gave himself the task of involve not only pioneers of the scene but also to share this accomplishment with the new talents wave and therefore growing a family of successes and successes to come. He also curates innumerable showcases around Europe inviting some of the most exciting acts of the moment and as well growing the Bipolar Disorder brand.
