We continue our ABSCAST Series with Røttar aka Zwei Gesichter, a Cuban DJ based in Malmö, resident of the "Rusty Nails" rave that takes place in Havana and the Swedish collective "Substantiv". He began his career a few years ago as one of the promoters and residents of the popular cuban party ASSC of great notoriety and respect for its strict door policy.

Having experimented with different styles of Techno his current sound can be summed up in the keywords: Acid, Raw, Industrial and EBM. His sets are usually energetic, intense and full of tension, where he uses spontaneity as the main weapon to tell his story. As a producer, is part of the Riot In Havana duo alongside Åre:gone and has several tracks released on our label, as well as in other platforms such as Gomboc Records, Voight-Kampff or Blacklapse. Definitely one to watch on the upcoming years.

In this second ABSCAST we present Åre:gone, one of the founders of our platform and regular artist in it. With just over two years active as a DJ, this young artist has great support and popularity in the Cuban Techno scene thanks to his memorable sets and his residency in the well-known series of Rusty Nails parties that promotes Rave culture on the island.

Industrial sounds that intermingle with textures and atmospheres could describe the tonic of his sessions, but it really goes further. Much influence from the IDM and a great sense of rhythm as well as an impeccable selection, daring at times and not at all conservative, are the elements that really characterize him when he is mixing. Also excellent works on labels such as Newrhythmic, Bipolar Disorder or our very own Abstraction, which are often part of his sets, shows why it is so easy to get carried away in his appearances.

Third installment of the ABSCAST mix series introducing JC Laurent from France. Resident DJ of the well-known Kwartz Club in Nice and curator of his own parties "JC Laurent Invites" and "Dance To Resist", where he has shared his musical universe with great artists such as Lucy, Lewis Fautzi, Shlømo, SNTS, Nur Jaber, Pär Grindvik and many others.

His sound can be described as hypnotic and loyal to the true Techno roots, showing in his sets a detailed selection of tracks that evoke emotions and almost speaks. For several years, he has released music on recognized labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Hidden Recordings, Intacto Records or Warok Music, being supported by the likes of Ben Sims, DVS1 or Rødhåd just to name a few. This achievements allowed the native of the French Riviera to play in respected clubs and festivals all over Europe, like Concrete, Les Plages Électroniques, Suicide Club or Wax Bar.

We present our new project, the ABSCAST mix series, with which we want to expose the work of talented artists in the form of a sound journey. Starting with Hioll, label head and one of the main influences within the rising Cuban Electronic Music Scene. As a DJ he has played in the most important parties, clubs and festivals in the country since the beginning of his career in 2009, thus being a driving force within the new Techno generation on the island.

Bringing a unique take on a club focused sound, combining addictive plucks with intricate atmospheres and a raw, thumping low end to deliver high energy sets direct to the dance floor. Immersing his listeners into a hypnotic trance like euphoria, underpinned by a primal and rhythmical vitality is common place throughout his productions and DJ sets, both of which come in droves. Alongside his vast discography of creative works are podcasts and mixes for some of the industries best upcoming streams, including mixes for Berlin based blog Nova Future, Seoul's renowned Scopávik, UK's well-known Abyss Presents and Fracture Agency.
