You may also know Marty from his youtube shows with Colt Cabana, "Creative Has Nothing For You," and "Worst Promo Ever." This is the second go round recording with Marty, after unfortunately, the audio from the first one didn't record properly, due to a mistake on my end. So I was glad Marty gave me another opportunity to record with him, and we covered the gamut when it comes to pro wrestling in 2016. We talk about his thoughts on Colt Cabana's return to Ring Of Honor, and the main event with Jay Lethal, how some of the ROH fans were unsatisfied with the ending, and how he felt about it. We cover CM Punk and Marty's perspective on his journey to the UFC, with his debut coming up very soon, at UFC 203 in September. We cover Marty's thought on the WWE Draft, how the shows have turned out so far, and NXT draft picks and call ups like Mojo Rawley, Nia Jax, and Baron Corbin coming ahead of perennial favorites like Samoa Joe, Namamura, and Bayley. Other topics include Kevin Owens and his WWE tenure so far, the Roman Reigns and Rusev feud, AJ Styles, John Cena and his place amongst the greatest wrestlers of all time, Nakamura's incredible debut and his NXT career since, the recent Conor McGregor vs. WWE wrestlers controversy, Brock Lesnar and USADA/UFC, Matt and Jeff Hardy and the "Final Deletion," Lucha Underground, Juggalos and "The Gathering," The future of The Young Bucks, Hulk Hogan and WWE, Finn Balor and how his character has been treated since he was drafted, and of course the big question: WHO is a bigger Guns N' Roses fan, Kevin Owens or Cliff Compton?!

  • Episode 75 with Dan "The Beast" Severn
Episode 75 is with our probably most decorated guest yet, as we have on a UFC Hall Of Famer, UFC Triple Crown Champion, and former two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, a man with over 100 wins in his MMA career, and that's not even mentioning his multiple amateur wrestling accolades: Dan "The Beast" Severn.

We focus more on Dan's pro wrestling career this episode, with an episode focusing on MMA and UFC to come. We talk about the twist of fate that lead Dan to the pro wrestling business, and training in Lima, Ohio with current TNA star and road agent, Al Snow. After he had wrestling independently and in Japan for a couple of years, Dan was shown a tape of UFC, which had only had a couple of events by that time. He submitted a tape and a resume, and experienced the prejudices of the NHB world against amateur and pro wrestling at that time, though he proved them very wrong. We talk about winning the NWA World Championship off of Chris Candido on a Jim Cornette promoted Smoky Mountain Wrestling card, and working for the NWA under Dennis Coraluzzo. We get into his negotiations with the WWF/WWE, and how he initally felt upon entering the company. We go over his relationship, or lack thereof, with Ken Shamrock, both in the UFC, and the WWF, and why the company never pulled the trigger on their program together. We talk about his alliances and feuds with Shamrock, Steve Blackman, and the late Owen Hart, including a story about the "piledriver angle" with Owen and Dan that many people may not know. Severn wrestled The Rock at King Of The Ring '98, and he talks about his feelings for him at that time, as well as why he was in and out of the "Brawl For All" tournament. We also talk about the "Attitude Era," and whether or not there were any angles proposed for him that he was uncomfortable with, or that he flat out refused. We also talk about his feelings on the WWE calling Brock Lesnar "The Beast Incarnate," as well as many other topics with Mr Severn.

Dan Severn's book, "The Realest Guy In The Room," is available now on Amazon and the What Culture store. Please follow all of Dan's appearances at DanSevern.com

  • Episode 74 with John Finegan
On Episode 74, we talk to former ECW Senior Official, John Finegan! This is a great, great interview as John is open and honest, and even delves into a personal situation that I am not sure too many people even knew about.
We talk about how he got his entry into the business thanks to Dick Woehrle, and his early refereeing gigs, even refereeing for both the NWA and the WWF in matches involving guys like Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect, Arn Anderson, and Tully Blanchard. We go over the Tri State Wrestling Alliance, and how he got involved there, and how it led to ECW. We of course, go into great detail about some of his more famous ECW experiences. This includes the main event of Barely Legal, RVD vs. Jerry Lynn, the fall of ECW in early 2001, and much much more.
We also go over the Philly Indy Wars early in the 2000s, and John working with 3PW, XPW, and at first, Ring Of Honor. We talk about ECW One Night Stand in 2005, and his experience that night, including refereeing the main event, and being in the ring for The Sandman's famous entrance. We go from there to ECW One Night Stand in 2005, and working with Edge, Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Tommy Dreamer, RVD, and John Cena. The ECW reboot is discussed, and John talks about working shots for the now WWE owned version of the company, and the contract offer he received.
We also talk about working for TNA at Hardcore Justice in 2010, and refereeing the main event between RVD and Sabu, and John's feelings on all the ECW documentaries that have come out over the years.

John Finegan referees for ECW, Delco Pro Wrestling, and World 1 Wrestling. He can be seen July 23rd for ECWA in Woodbury, NJ, July 24th for Delco Pro Wrestling in Briarcliff, PA, and for World 1 Wrestling on July 30th in Morganville, NJ.
