God will have us do things that wont necessarily make sense to those that see us. No matter how much we explain what God said or did, they may never believe us. However, we must remember our job is to obey God and not live to convince others we are Good. This is something we can get wrapped up in and can lead to living to please people.

Now that I have a better understanding of grace, it can sometimes work against me. I sometimes sin knowing God will forgive me. That’s not why grace is there. When we misuse grace it slowly builds something in us. We go from seeking true forgiveness to checking a box after we sin.

Sometimes situations happen to reveal how screwed our opinion of yourself is. We can change it or ignore it. Whatever we decide there are consequences that follow.

God told Moses at one point he could still go to the promise land but God would not go. Moses said he would not go without God. What will you do?

God wants us to be dependent upon him an not ourselves. We should get the point where we know we cannot live a productive life without God.

So often we forget where got brought us from, but when we remember or can visually see, its amazing. Imagine if you made it a habit to remember the things he has done for you and the places he has brought you from.

Many of us want things from God but won't give time. We won't give him our time treasure or talent. We spent so much time focusing on what we are losing when giving to God when we should really focus on what we are gaining. We also focus on what we are gaining from the world when we should be focusing on the negative things we are losing when we follow God

Many of us can go through life dominated by the desires of our flesh more than our spirit. We don't realize this until we are in spiritual warfare and we aren't conditioned for what is needed.

Romans 8:5-6

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the holy spirit think about things that please the spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the spirt control your mind leads to life and peace.

Each generation comes with its own issues based on time. However, whatever bad habit, bad understanding or unresolved issues left will be placed on the next generation. This pattern can go one for generations. Someone will have to step up and repair was damaged.

When God designed us, he had a certain plan for our lives. As mistakes were made and hurt was infected upon us, we learned to deal with those things and didn't resolve them all. We began to identify with them. So much so that we become unrecognizable to ourselves should we look in a mirror. God wants us to get back to our untainted form and lean on him for identity.
