As we recognize Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, it is important to know the value that God places on human life.  We find in Jeremiah 1:5 how God feels about each one of us.  We are known.  We were formed.  We have a purpose.

The word of God is not a temporary fix. We need to be declaring the Word over our life, because there is power in our words. Let's declare life over ourselves; let's declare what God says about us; let's declare Truth. 

Communion and New Year 2023

When Jericho falls, it would be natural to rush in and plunder the city and then move on with our lives.  Not so fast.  When God delivers Jericho into our hands, we to recognize that some things are an offering, some things are destroyed, and some things are redeemed.  It is important that we continue to follow the Lord's lead even after the walls fall down.

Jericho must fall! God's battle plans to take down Jericho were anything but conventional. However, they are the perfect plans for taking down the walls we face. In today's message, we learn four valuable strategies for defeating the walls of Jericho in our own lives.

The walls of Jericho are imposing, daunting, overwhelming, intimidating. Our army of resources can't touch it. But it is no match for the Lord's armies! In today's message, we discover the help we have in heaven's armies as we face our Jericho walls.

When God calls us to obedience he will move ahead of us on our behalf. Obedience requires us to surrender to God's ways.  Obedience defeats shame, and God activates our new identity.  Obedience unlocks Gods promises for our lives.

In our quest to topple Jericho, it is important that we remember God's faithfulness that got us here. Because the memories will not only build our faith for the fight, they will also stand as a record of his goodness for generations to come. When the miraculous happens, God does all the work. All he asks of us to REMEMBER.

On this side of the Jordan, life isn't great, but it is familiar. On the other side is where the harvest is. It is where Jericho stands. We can't face Jericho until we cross the river. And to do that, we must fully commit to the crossing.

As we pursue the fall of Jericho, we sometimes step into a mess.  When that happens, it feels hopeless and frustrating.  But if we look closer, we'll discover that when God is involved, there is movement in the mess.
