Picking up from last week's message, the author of Hebrews explains how Jesus is our High Priest, despite the fact he wasn't a Levite. Today, we learn about a mysterious Old Testament king named Melchizedek who reveals an amazing truth about Jesus.

As we continue our series, "New and Living Way," we will discover the numerous aspects of the priesthood of Jesus. In today's message, we see Jesus as a high priest who understands our weakness and helps us in times of need.

For centuries, the presence of God was available to one man, from one tribe, from one nation, for one day a year. That presence could be accessed only by going through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. Today we will discover that, we too, have been invited to go through the curtain into the presence of God.

The Word of God is living and active. It is not merely a message. It is not merely words on a page. When we apply it to our lives we experience an incredible transformation into the image of God.

We all want a legacy. But legacies are not self-made; they happen in the context of family. In today's message, we will find that God creates family and family creates legacy.

As we close out this series, we will take a look at what it means to rest in Jesus. When we stop trying to measure up to God, but instead receive His grace through faith, we will find a true rest like we've never experienced.

The trials of life will produce one of two things: a deepened trust in God or a hardened heart towards God. If we are going to stay the course, we will need to take care of our hearts, find encouragement from other believers, and hold tightly to our conviction that God is for us.

Imagine getting a notice that someone has paid off your house. That would be pretty awesome! For most people, that is the biggest debt they have. Question: would you keep making mortgage payments to the bank anyway? That would be crazy. Spiritually, Jesus has paid our debt in full. In this message, Pastor Brad invites us to stop trying to pay for something Jesus has already paid for.

We live in a world with a lot of finger pointing. Shoot, Adam pointed to Eve when he first sinned. What if we took that pointing and used it for good? We will discover today that just as the life of Moses pointed to Jesus, we are called to do the same.

Mankind has a problem--a problem that started when sin entered the world. That problem is death. Death not only affected our physical bodies; it also separated us from God. But thanks be to Jesus, He defeated the power of death!
