When will you be satisfied? When you get that new car, reach a certain revenue point, or make enough to retire your spouse? Truthfully, if you’re a driven entrepreneur, you probably never will be. And that’s actually a good thing.
On this episode of the Abundantly Clear podcast, Malorie digs into our misconceptions about what it is we want versus what we’re actually looking for, shifting the way we evaluate our identity and how it changes, and how to carry these new insights over to create better habits and a brighter future.

“So, I want to jump back to the concept of, the bar is always moving. What if this wasn't bad? What if this actually showed us that we are capable of so much, and when we allow that bar to move, our life can experience a radical change, and our default bar is constantly being raised? So you will never go back to that old version of you because the reason that you reach these goals, the reason that you do the things that you do, is because you shift your identity about who you are and what you're capable of.”

“If you take anything from my work, it's that we're not born chokers or thrivers. Like it's something you can learn, you can learn to perform better, and you need a toolbox of techniques. And so what we've been doing in my research is studying actually what happens in the brain when you use a particular technique and high pressure situation, how that works and how we can implement them regardless of where you are, whether it's taking a test or giving a talk or doing a concert piano performance, and I think, you know, there's always more work to do there until we don't have stressful situations, which doesn't seem to be like it's going to happen anytime soon.”

“But what is the deeper voice telling you? The deeper voice that is uncomfortable and feeling uneasy and not quite proud about what you've created? The less insecurities and the more confidence you have, the less there is for you to rationalize everything that's happening in your life and the decisions that you're making and the success that you create.”

“Wayne Dyer says that the acronym for ego is excluding God out. So essentially, it's that higher power, it's getting connected to self. You know, ego moves us away from our highest self. To truly experience joy, happiness, peace, love, prosperity, you have to let that ego escape. If you get centered in ego, it'll take you down a bad path.”

“Everybody has fears. It's not that we get to this place of perfection and we never ever have a fear ever again. But when you think about your relationship with money, how are you showing up to it? How are you embodying the knowingness that you already have the thing that you want? Now it's just time to follow through. It's not that it's not possible. It's not that it's far out. It's not that it's all the way over there. You already have it.”

“My mantra has always been, you know, shift your mindset, ignite your inner fire and then make power moves. If you can't make those power moves, we really work on the mindset, and then that fire that we have from within, that's what helps us to navigate when we reach the blocks or when we're at that point that we want to jump. And then once we jump, guys, the world is your oyster. Now we really get to create the life that we desire.”

“Being an always-on CEO or manager or someone in a leadership position, being always on actually means that you're not implementing boundaries. And boundaries aren’t about shutting yourself off to the world. It's about listening to your needs. And knowing that prioritizing yourself is how you actually give more to others.”

“For me, it's just a constant stage and a constant progression of always looking to improve and always looking to learn more and always looking to go on more of the spiritual side of things and ask myself deeper questions: Who am I? Why am I here? What's my real purpose? What is the path? All those types of things. For me, it's always about self-discovery, because I approach where I'm at in myself and my business and in life as, I still don't really know enough or there's still more to learn. There's always progression.”

“That's what I want everybody on the planet to know, is that the way that you learn and the way you process information and the way you handle your emotions, all of these things correlate to how you're feeling day in and day out. So, when this personal growth stuff is addressed, it basically is like, everything comes together all of your business stuff and your personal growth stuff can come together as one. And you get the life that you were after from the beginning.”

“Breathwork allows us to really connect with this higher self, gives us access to it. You know, I think a lot of people will choose plant medicine because they want access to that vibration or that feeling. But then, you know, the other flip of the coin there is like they're always trying to get back to that, like I'm addicted to that feeling. But what we really don't realize is, that is that feeling. Like, you are your own drug, you are your own medicine.”
