In the spirit of science, discovery, and innovation, STAT and its partner Affiliates are thrilled to present "Funny You Should Think That"—a web series that not only addresses misconceptions in science but also takes a closer look at their earlier development and progression into high school-level learning.
The series continues with a presentation from Associated Chemistry Teachers of Texas (Act2) President Nicole Lyssy and Kayla Pearce, President of the Texas Association of Biology Teachers (TABT)—"Funny You Should Think That is a Failure."
Scientific methods go far beyond the linear pathway we usually teach our students. In this "Funny You Should Think That," we will explore a broader view of scientific methods, discover a couple of examples of serendipitous science, and learn ways to gently move your students beyond a linear scientific method.
