Jay talks about the recent growth that he has noticed in the popularity of Christians to disregard the writings and teaching of the Apostle Paul. Jay argues that this is not entirely fair, pointing out that the primary reasons for this dismissal are: (1) The clobber passage in his book of Romans, which is endlessly misunderstood and taken out of its cultural context, which quickly clarifies that this passage is referring to sex rituals used in idol worship, as well as the sexual depravity of priests who would molest children. (2) The pastoral epistles, which are not actually written by Paul, but are rather forgeries, for which Jay makes an air-tight, logical case.
Recorded in Seattle, Washington on Sunday, May 30th, 2021.
