One of the biggest problems we face is thinking that happiness can be found externally.
I get it. The world and systems say you need this (thing) to be happy...
So it’s easy to fall into that trap.
But think about this for a moment.
If it’s a person who makes you happy, what will happen when they're gone?
If it is a place that makes you happy, what will happen if this place ceases to exist?
Lastly, if things make you happy, what will happen to you when you lose these things?
Keep this thought close to your heart. If you practice the fundamentals, everything in your life will rise. I know from my years in construction, the foundation is the most important part of a building. The concrete engineers would come up and inspect the concrete. They would take a cylinder back to the lab and see what amount of pressure it takes to break it. This is the kind of inspection that was necessary to test the durability of the substance and to see if it meets the standard.
