Achieving Reality: The Podcast!

Long ago in a post I wrote that one day we'd introduce you to the person responsible for our theme music.  This is the day!  Larry and Chris welcome Pop Culture Architects' resident musician, Chris Blackburn to the podcast.  They discuss the number of Chrises to appear on the show, SoundLab, past misadventures, Atlanta's music venues, Co-Star Acting Game Records, what must've happened to Foghat, the sobriety of rock stars, the McDonald Playland of the seventies, and a new product is born.Chris graces us with two of his original songs, Ode To A Hornet and Siren's Call, both of which can be downloaded in higher bitrate in the preceding two posts (having been "remastered" by Harvey).

This is Chris Blackburn's first song from Episode 040 - Moderate Despondence.  This is presented in a higher bitrate than our episodes in an attempt to do the music justice.  Enjoy and find more of Chris' work at his site ChrisBlackburn.com.

I left the MADPlayer at Harvey's Thursday night and he took it upon himself to see what he could do with it.  I received this in my morning's e-mail.  Let's see what you think.

In this enchanting prelude to Episode 040, Larry and Chris await the arrival of their special guest.  In the meantime, Larry takes a personality quiz and they debate the nutritional value of NesQuik.

Larry and Chris' guest was called away on an emergency, leaving the boys with no other option than to tell their (not so) harrowing tales of Atlanta's Snow Storm Debacle.  Also, they briefly share their thoughts on Michael Jai White.  Grab a blanket and your headphones and Enjoy!

Larry and Chris talk about Chris' meeting with The Tenderloins (aka The Impractical Jokers).  They also discuss restaurant makeover shows, dive bars, The Tenderloins (again), Hookahs, The Tenderloins (yet again), superhero tech, Man of Steel and Rebooting Jason.  Chris Meets The TenderloinsAlso, Chris would like to give a shout out to Jiggy.  He was the opening act for the show and Chris could not remember his name during the record.  His act is very funny and you should check him out at his Twitter feed or his
