    Now that residency programs are beginning to review residency applications, interview offers are being made. Watch our Mock Interview Prep Panel consisting of ACMedical Interns acting as the Residency Committee Panel, while they interview Dr. Mizani in family medicine. Learn how Dr. Mizani answers high yield interview questions and observe how he confidently tackles each question with a strategic answer.

    Dr. Pedram Mizani graduated from the Morehouse School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program as a Chief Resident and founded ACMedical in 2007 where he’s been helping our society make doctors for the last almost 15 years. In the upcoming year or two, Dr. Mizani would like to restart family practice again, but to do so he will need a 1-year residency re-fresher. The Mock Interview Panel here today is made of our ACMedical Interns, namely Dr. Xing Fan, Dr. Sydney Sykes, Dr. Lidia Eskander, Dr. Michelle Parisi, and Dr. Valene Rosas.

    There is so much to think about when certifying. The ideal time to certify the ERAS application depends on individual circumstances. Applicants can certify even if certain supporting documents are still outstanding. In some cases, it may be beneficial to certify late but don’t wait too long certifying after September 29th can reduce your odds of receiving interview offers by 5% per day.     As a result of all the COVID-19 pandemic related changes implemented this past year a new NRMP Program Director Survey was released. The 2021 Survey includes many significant changes. Among these changes are the tracking of holistic application reviews, a breakdown of USMLE score importance to programs, how medical schools handled virtual rotations, and more new factors like diversity characteristics.   • Episode 34: Help with the 2022 Supplemental ERAS Application & Preference Signaling

    The Supplemental ERAS Application was introduced in part by programs in the previous Match Cycle during the COVID-19 pandemic to elicit more information from applicants. This cycle many residency programs in the specialties of internal medicine, general surgery, and dermatology will be requiring a Supplemental Application. The first step is saving one program by September 1st so that you may receive the invitation to complete the application.
