My guest today, from Montreal Quebec, is known by many as Mr Hockey across

China. He’s spent the majority of his adult life promoting and teaching the

game of hockey across the pond in China. He has been part of the youth

hockey development in China since 2008 and has done everything from

coaching to organising international events . He is currently working as a

hockey consultant for China Hockey Group, promoter for the Kunlun Red Star

and youth hockey coach in Beijing. Please welcome Mark Simon.

On this episode, I talk about the teams who are peaking at the right time,

the race to 50 goals and a possible rule change for next year's NHL. My

guest tonight is originally from a small town in British Columbia. He built

a career as a recording engineer at Mushroom Studios in Vancouver. After

working on albums with bands such as Trooper, Loverboy, he was invited to

Hong Kong to set up and operate Q-Sound studios for local “Heavenly King”

Andy Lau. As well as recording and mixing the who’s who of the

international Canto-pop business, Rob has been a major player with the

growth of the Hong Kong indie music scene - building studios and working

with and training local artists and engineers .He’s also played a very

important role in the development of hockey in Hong Kong. Please welcome,

Director of the China Hockey Group, the architect of the CHG Internship

program and the Chairman and Founder of iNetAsia. Mr Greg Smyth.

Our guest tonight is a strength and conditioning coach and a multi-sport

international athlete with a passion for improving health. He leads various

Youth programs, he has 19 years of coaching experience and is the current

Operations manager at Strive Fitness Hong Kong. His experience ranges from

working with Professional boxers to training and developing programs for

Rugby and lacrosse. I’m excited to have him in the studio. From Swansea

Toronto native, Andrew Kacsor is based in China where he started off with the Chinese Olympic Committee, working wth the Olympic Canoe Team and is now in the midst of his first year as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the KRS Vanke Rays Professional Ice Hockey Team in Shenzhen.

Former figure skater and now mother of four beautiful little hockey beasts, Melissa coaches the majority of power skaters at Elements and Junior Tigers. Chris and Paul hang with two of Hong Kong’s finest when it comes to the Inline Hockey program here in the city. Daryl Wong is native to Hong Kong and Kyle Haynes is a Welshman who moved here back in 2002. Yes, that’s right folks. The Welsh can play hockey too! Together, this dynamic duo have done amazing things for the scene and have helped the Inline Hockey Program blossom into a kick ass division!

Not only does she represent the city by playing on the Women’s National Ice Hockey team, she also knows how to hold her own with Paul’s hot sauce collection.
