Action Movie Hall of Fame

This week, we're trying something a little different on the Action Movie Hall of Fame.

Instead of looking at potential movies for induction, we're looking at people.

More specifically, director John McTiernan, and actor Harrison Ford.

McTiernan has brought us action staples like Die Hard and Predator, but will his late career flops work against him? Then we deep dive off a dam into the long career of Harrison Ford.

In 1994, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock jumped onto a bus and into our hearts in the summer action movie blockbuster, Speed. Famously, the bus made an impossible jump over a portion of missing freeway. But does Speed have what it takes to make the leap from summer blockbuster to the Action Movie Hall of Fame?

We take our first look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the movie that started it all, 2008's Iron Man.  The movie was enough to bring Robert Downey Jr.'s career back to life, and give life to the MCU. But do Tony and his crew have enough heart to make it into the Action Movie Hall of Fame?

It's the AMHOF's Valentine's Day episode. Big mistake! Upon re-visiting this movie, we discover Arnold's character Harry treats his wife, Jamie Lee Curtis, horribly and doesn't deserve her. Will his bad behavior keep True Lies out of the Hall of Fame, or can James Cameron's action-directing chops save the day?

This time, it's war! Sigourney Weaver returns to the role of Ellen Ripley in 1986's Aliens, sequel to 1979's Alien.  Once again, she finds herself face to face with the xenomorph, but will she find herself in the Action Movie Hall of Fame?

We're trying something new on the Action Movie Hall of Fame this week. For this episode, we're checking out the trailer for Nobody, starring Bob Odenkirk. Based on the trailer, Matt and Dereck will guess what score the movie will eventually receive on Rotten Tomatoes. Will Nobody be Fresh?

Check out the trailer, then listen to the show!

How do you like them apples? Matt Damon busts onto the action scene in 2002's The Bourne Identity.  Once Jason Bourne realizes his true identity, does he have the skill to get out of the hitman business, and into the Action Movie Hall of Fame?

Denzel Washington plays a unstoppable killing machine in the name of good in 2014's The Equalizer. Sure, Robert "Bob" McCall knows his way around a HomeMart...but how well versed is he with the Action Movie Hall of Fame?

Nicholas Cage and Sean Connery star in the 1996 action classic The Rock. But does a 90s action movie directed by Michael Bay deserve entry into the the Action Movie Hall of Fame?

Welcome to the Action Movie Hall of Fame! Each week, our co-hosts Matt Brand and Dereck Bordeleau do a deep-dive on an action movie, then decide if it belongs in the Action Movie Hall of Fame. This week, find out if Daniel Craig has what it takes to get the James Bond Franchise its first entry into the AMHOF with 2006's Casino Royale.
