Bob Dylan achieved monumental fame, which was probably his goal all along. That was not the goal of our finest troubadour, whose guitar bore the words, This machine kills fascists.

The second chapter of the US in Vietnam would not involve prep school elites or secret Yale societies. The actual fighters would be the poor and people of color. The underclass would do the real bleeding for the economic gains that the elites hungered for.

We live in the most militarized nation the world has ever seen. Our wars are all over the globe with 800 military bases always looking for a new fight with Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, China and Russia.

Looking back, the brutality and slaughter in South Africa was nothing like what is going on in Apartheid Israel. At times, dozens were being shot, and not thousands. Not ten thousands.

Workers have every right to be angry. It is really the only way that labor has clawed anything back from the billionaire class, that has made Wall Street speculation the backbone of our economy.

The Vietnam War accentuated the social and economic divisions in our nation. Blacks and Latinos paid the price for US militarism abroad. The middle class paid the wartime bills, and the very rich, well they made out great.

Woodstock taught us that at times our society can be shaken to its roots. One such rebellion might just work to really change our country.

As the genocide in Gaza continues unabated, and as the children in the thousands die of hunger, we must conclude that the state has lost any pretense of morality.

The fate of the Palestinians rests with the people of the world, who may get so disgusted with the Israel/US extermination tactics that they rise up and demand an end to the apartheid state.
