In this episode of the ACUNS Professional Development Podcast series, Geneva-based writer, editor and translator Lemoyne Baquet joins co-host Alistair Edgar to discuss the former’s career path from North American undergraduate and graduate studies, to extensive overseas experience as a teacher, administrator and freelance journalist in Africa, the Middle East, Far East, South America, and Western Europe, and then as a writer and Assistant Program Manager with the ICRC in Geneva. Baquet speaks about the major personal and professional challenges involved in building, and in living, such a diverse global career; and about some of the highlights from his work with the ICRC, including achieving and maintaining a constructive and highly successful relationship with the European Commission as a funder of important ICRC work.
