    What is the future of the John A. Macdonald statue?

    Adam speaks with Chris Considine, The Sir John A. Macdonald Historical Society.

    They discuss the possibility of the statue of Sir John A. Macdonald being returned to the historical society that originally gave it to the city.

    The statue was removed by the City of Victoria in 2018, from city hall as an intended step towards reconciliation.

    Macdonald was Canada’s first prime minister, and a key architect in establishing Canada's residential school system. Which saw Indigenous children separated from their families and still has profound impacts on Indigenous people today.
