The Missing Middle Housing policy public hearing is at 6:30 PM on August 4, 2022, hours after the show. Crockford and Stirling look at the cheat sheet and discuss how certain bylaws could interfere with houses being developed.
On Legally-Speaking with Michael Mulligan, Mulligan and Stirling look at multiple cases, including a sexual assault case that went to the supreme court of Canada, a lawyer attempting to dropping out of a case close to the trial start date, and a decision out of the British Columbia court of appeal for an unjust enrichment.
Angela McLaughlin, study’s lead author PHD candidate in Bioinformatics at UBC joins Adam to talk about a new study showing that the Canadian travel restrictions did reduce COVID-19 cases entering the country. Despite this, the restrictions were not as effective in preventing new outbreaks of the virus.
