Later, Adam spoke with John Treleavan, Grumpy Taxpayers of Greater Victoria, about Victoria’s voluntary contribution to be added on to property taxes that would go to the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations in the name of reconciliation. Less than one per cent of tax payers chose to contribute.
Adam spoke with Karen Dinnie-Smyth, president of the Victoria Real Estate Board, about the latest home sales numbers for the region. Home sales in Greater Victoria dropped last month by 35 per cent since June 2021, with 612 properties sold compared to 942 properties last year.
In this hour, Adam was joined by Dave Saunders, President of the Saunders Family Foundation, and Kevin Albers, CEO of the M’akola Group, to discuss the Saunders Family Foundation pitch to the Province of British Columbia to improve healthcare on the growing West Shore and Sooke.
