Then, Deputy Chief George Klemm, Errington Fire Department chats with Adam about a new initiative as the department has purchased a drone capable of utilizing thermal imaging in emergency and rescue efforts. Adam Stirling returns to the show! To start the show off, Adam provides updates on topics from last week including the ‘Freedom Convoy’, Albert politics, Victoria City Council, and Pickleball courts. Adam speculates upon City Council’s involvement with the Pickleball community as certain members appear to be stepping out of their duties in attempt to provide solutions for finding locations for courts for the players. We listen to relevant segments of a Victoria City Council meeting as they discuss potential options for Pickleballers in the southern regions of the Greater Victoria Area.
Michael Mulligan, Barrister & Solicitor, Mulligan Defence Lawyers joins the program for the weekly Legally Speaking segment with Adam as Mulligan shares interesting and notably legal proceedings. The first case Mulligan explains sees a party goer get intoxicated on drugs and alcohol to the point of being considered an automaton and how the court proceeded with the crimes committed by this intoxicated individual. Afterwards, Mulligan provides an understanding of how decisions are shared among various levels of Canadian courts and how courts are the same level remain consistent. Finally, Mulligan addresses a case in B.C that involves ICBC.
