ADD Storytelling

Join Maddie and Tucker as they dive into the Russian/Slavic goddess meets archetype of Baba Yaga. She's a forest witch that rides a mortar and pestle and is largely associated with death and rebirth. We will spend part 1 of Baba Yaga establishing context and research, as well as two or three of the most well-known tales of Baba Yagas. Part 2 will have more juicy tales.

Join Maddie and Tucker for a romp around the islands in the North Atlantic with cute seal-people! Said to be the souls of those lost to the sea, selkies shed their seal-skins and dance with us as humans every once in a while. Our myths include different versions of selkie wives, promiscuous selkie-men, and the children of selkie/human parents. Tucker also has an A+ level performance of a traditional ballad describing a selkie man's tryst with a human lover.

Join Maddie and Tucker as they talk about creepy automaton-like golems, buy fancy frogs, and fall into at least 3 separate tangents. Folk tales from a Jewish perspective, by two Jewish authors. A wise sage writes poetry. Talking crickets. You name it!

If you would like to support Roots Metals, who authored one of the books, you can purchase their jewelry here.

If you would like to purchase their Jewish folk tale book for yourself, their purchase link is here.
